Cell Biology BSc (Hons)

Best aspect was my personal tutor, they supported me throughout and really shined through with their expertise and support. The worst aspects would be the expensive food options on campus.

Doctorate in Education (EdD)

University rating (5)

The campus setting is gorgeous and with all of the natural green space around, you are never short of things to do! It's also quite close to the city centre where you can find great shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, and places to explore. The campus has some much newer facilities like its newly refurbished Pathfoot building or the amazing new Sports Centre. Plus, the campus has its own castle, Airthrey Castle, and amazing views of the surrounding Stirling area due to its location in the hills. The support for students could be improved, especially for postgraduates, and it varies between faculties and divisions. That said, you will almost always find a faculty willing to listen and help where they can. I've been involved in many initiatives partnered alongside the faculty to improve the student experience which shows me that it is a priority, and one that is acted on.

Law (LLB) LLB (Hons)

University rating (4)

It's a gorgeous campus, but deeply difficult to adapt to for internationals and undergraduates because the faculty has a very disconnected attitude towards students. The professors and tutors also rarely answer emails.

The campus and facilities offered make it a great place to study. However, the faculty and the study material provided can be made more relevant and can be improved.

Almost all lecturers are incredibly engaged and engaging. The course is interesting. Campus is beautiful, but there could be more group study areas. Timetabling is often chaotic in the early weeks.

Software Engineering BSc (Hons)

I love Stirling university for being well located as well as campus being insanely pretty. At times room placement within the university can definitely be confusing, but don't most universities struggle with the same problem? I enjoy studying here because all professors I had so far were really nice and they explain material well enough for me to understand. I think what can be improved would be the food in the university, in my opinion, it lacks diversity if you actually want something not just to fill your stomach but to actually have something nice. To improve that more culturally diverse foods could be added.
