Sort:Latest reviewsThe campus is amazing and everyone is very social and welcoming, the city is small but has good shops. If you want a more laid back approach to studying whilst getting the same information Stirling is place to be.
Good university with a lot of support from staff members and feedback on our progress. Well organised teaching and many modules to choose from to broaden our learning.
The university of Stirling offers a wide range of academic and leisure choices to all it's students all based on a beautiful campus. The campus facilities and city offer something for everyone and with it being a small city there is a great friendly feel where you are likely to know at least 1 person everytime you leave your house!
Love my course (business & economics), the accommodation bedrooms could be a little later although living on this amazing campus means everything is within walking distance.
Really friendly university, nice enclosed campus so everything is together and you bump into people all the time. Set on the lake, campus is absolutely stunning and buzzing with wildlife.
I really enjoyed my time at Stirling, where I developed my skills, helped me attain entry into a FTSE 100 company's graduate scheme, and also allowed me to get involved in academic research which increased my skills.
This university has a beautiful campus, good facilities , a very mixed and large student population and has good public transport links. Choose wisely though as research is its main focus not teaching and students take second place when it comes to priorities!
I absolutely love studying here. It's such a community and within being here for a week it felt like I was home. I really love my course because I find it so stimulating and interesting, and I've benefitted from joining a sports team also.
Uni Is a really good experience and to learn in this university is even better.The best thing is the fresh start that allows you to study hard from the beginning. The proffesors are really friendly and they help you a lot when you need them. You should not expect to have great marks at essays tho'. They mark you well just at exams when you have to give a specific answer to a question and not mess the words around like in essays and reports.
For accommodation your better off picking the city (in town) or on campus otherwise your going to find the commute difficult if walking isnt in your interest on a cold and frosty morning.
Stirling Uni is GREAT!!!!, it's a lot of hard work but it also provides room for relaxation in the SU and the different things happening on the huge campus.Make sure that you attend the lectures. Uni is a lot different to school in that you aren't registered when you attend lectures, so you have to make sure you are independent and work hard.
I'm really enjoying my time Stirling, the uni has everything that is relevant to what I need to learn and the kills i need to gain.
I'm having a great time at Stirling - I commute to campus because our accommodation isnt on campus like everyone else's. It helps to create a homely feeling as we live in houses and can do what we pretty much want until the Uni's estate services van comes around. Freshers week was crazy and none like it. hand a few house parties that are unrivalled to the kitchen parties people on campus had. It provides alot of freedom and space.
Since i started at Stirling uni I have loved every minute. I have met a lot f new people and I think I have made some friends for life! My accommodation is pretty good (a proper house under the uni accommodation) and my house mates are friendly and we get on well. My course is really good and my lectures are welcoming and willing to help with any problems
The logie lecture theatre is impressive i havnt had time to look at the others. The uni seprated into different buildings/sections that make up the union, the best part has to be Airthey Castle where law students and Air 3 studios are placed next to the golf curse and galic football pitches.
its a good uni but nothing ever happens which really pisses me off because it doesnt do much for the student life. But if you have a good social group and the kind of person that can talk to anyone then you can work you way in.
The city is decent if you are used to small areas where everything is in one place. The campus is huge with a variety of offerings to different people so everyone can find something to do. I love the Logie lecture theater which gives a feel to the uni experience and the smaller seminar classes that allow you to understand your course in more depth.
I love that the sports facilities that accommodate different sports and different levels of sports. There are various teams within what sport that enable people of different skill sets to take part. The football team has 5 teams which is something that I have been keen to get involved in. If you are keen at sports that Stirling is the place for you.

Great all round experience. Super courses and degrees. The support and facilities available are unmatched anywhere for sport, all the help and support given to me by the uni to get a degree with academic flexibility to pursue my sport is second to none.
A city by name but not a busy city. Friendly and sufficient.
