I love being here at Stirling. Sadly the funding cuts are evident in my degree course and for what I know from other classes too. Its a wonderful place to study with great people, I just hope it can get back on track financially
Campus environment is stunning and staff are incredibly helpful, supportive and engaging. However, the uni could improve by having more silent study bases as there aren't many and they tend to fill up quickly.
The best aspects are fantastic sports and societies, beautiful setting yet not too far from the city, and lots of support from staff The worst aspect is student accommodation having lots of issues, including leaks, etc.
The best aspect is the communication, the efficiency and the comfort of all facilities. The worst aspect is the lack of heating in some outside facilities.
Student services for mental health support is pretty poor, one time counselling is not effective
I love the uni the support is next level I didn’t realise you could get so much support
Its a really nice place to study and the campus is really nice. The only improvements would be for the study booths on campus to have working plugs on them
Lovely campus, a lot of good lecturers. Not enough space. Union doesn't host many events etc apart from in fresher's.
The library and sports facilities are really good but the student union has been mostly shut during my time at uni due to raac concrete, and the union building was sold to campus eats so no longer has its 100% plantbased by 2030 pledge
Really lovely area and campus. Great facilities on campus, but could do with modernising and food outlets being cheaper. Live the library and sports centre. Easy to get lost in teaching buildings but you get used to finding your way, especially as lectures tend to stick in the same room(s) for the whole module. Accommodation is slightly outdated, but constantly being worked on and spacious enough to have a friend or two over to sleep on air mattresses. Once moving into private, the market is competitive but there's a lot of options at many price points in different areas. Support varies depending on the lecturer, faculty support for serious matters is timely and amazing though. Night life is good if you like pubs, and always feels fun. If you want more clubs it's really easy to get to Glasgow or Edinburgh due to location (easier to get back from Glasgow mid way through the night if needed though). So many societies and clubs, and more people than you think, but few enough you'll normally see someone you know if you go outside/up to campus to study. Lots of great off campus study spots and places to relax (going for walks, different gyms etc). Plenty of food shopping choices, has a pretty intact shopping centre/high street too!
Good for environmental science as there are on campus field practicals.
Great uni with mostly great faculty members
I really love how the campus on university looks and feels during the diffrent seasons. The amount of activity available to students are great. im having issues with accommodation as when I arrived this year I was given keys to my accommodation but told I couldn't enter my room as it was Infested with cockroaches and was given a new room. not the greatest start to 3rd year.
Everything is very easy to navigate and people are very helpful. However, the pharmacy at university doesn't work Saturday or Sunday, neither the medical center close by; this sometimes is a complication for student that need a prescription for take the medicine immediately or require medicine of bad symptoms that are not so high risky to be considered an emergency for a hospital or at night. It is a great place to study but not a good place to get sick.
Best: The people I have met and the experiences I have had. I believe I have met my friends for life at university and I could not be happier. I love that university gave me the outlet to give in Scotland as well as I am from Northern Ireland and while it is similar in culture the opportunities are far better here. I also love education so just learning is good here. Worst: I believe education can be lacking here, lack of lectures, lecture cancellations, few hours on campus and little support. None of the lecturers that taught me in first year are here anymore for current first year law students, I believe that’s the proof in the pudding. I am in fourth year so dissertation year and I know you don’t get much help as it is your own work but compared to other courses, my course has been left in the dark.
Joining a sports club has been great to meet new people and experience new things. Good facilities for studying. Student union could do more events.
The best thing about Stirling University is the amazing campus; not only is it stunning to live and learn here, but it is also packed with some amazing facilities. I am quite disappointed in the union, though, as it is rarely used.
The campus is absolutely beautiful, and the campus facilities are good, with lots of places to study. In terms of student life, there isn't much you can do in terms of going out so it would be better if there was more to do, e.g. if the student union hosted more events throughout the year to make use of it.

I like Stirling as the campus is beautiful as well as the support and teachers there are extremely good and help with workload.
My course is taught in class which is very beneficial as it’s easier to ask questions. My course hours are a decent amount which is manageable.
For what I pay my halls is quite good. The location is close to campus.
