PhD Pharmacy

University rating (5)

University of Reading provides access to clinical experience in diverse healthcare settings, and mentorship from leading experts in the field. It emphasizes hands-on learning through internships and practical training, preparing students for real-world pharmacy practice. To improve, the university could enhance partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organizations to provide students with more opportunities for industry exposure and networking. Additionally, integrating emerging technologies and interdisciplinary coursework could better prepare students for the evolving landscape of pharmacy practice. Expanding resources for career development and post-graduation support could also benefit pharmacy students as they transition into their professional roles.

Ancient History and Archaeology BA (Hons)

University rating (5)

Reading University is an excellent place to study. During my first year, I felt welcomed and supported in adjusting to my new lifestyle. The university has fantastic museums and cafes on site, and their library is exceptional. It not only provides a great place to study, but also offers excellent resources and academic support. The staff is always ready to assist, and other students are a great source of information and support. However, there is room for improvement in training staff on university resources such as Blackboard. It is also necessary to reduce conflicts within schedules. Sometimes, staff feedback on assignments lacks insightful comments, which could be helpful in building our skills for future assignments.

Computer Science with Industrial Year BSc (Hons)

University rating (5)

Lecturers actually make the work being taught interesting and not too full of jargon and "academic-speak" which bog down the actual learning process. The labs are useful and help you learn well. The student union has a great cafe and a bubble tea cafe along with a very nice bagel shop. And the campus is green and always a pleasure to walk through. The only downside for me is that the there are a few places like the dairy and reading central that can be a bit of a long walk to get to. Though I understand that that isn't necessarily something the university can control and so doesn't detract from my opinion of it.
