The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s awards were not collected on uni campuses as usual, but instead based on submissions from institutions, which were then judged by our special student panel.

Been enjoying my experience as a masters student at UoM even though I don't have complete access to my course but I' trying to make the most of it. Would love the benefit of in-person teaching - even just something to make it seem more "real". Fingers crossed I can gain access to labs for my dissertation in the summer and that'll be a coup.
I've heard strong links with industry on my course and the university has run careers fairs and particular events such as BP open event in October which was a really good experience.
Completely online, through pre-recorded or synchronous sessions
Little bit expensive for what it is but is a lot cheaper than university accommodation. Have concerns about safety of the accommodation got mugged right outside the block and also resident's cars have their windows smashed too regularly due to shutters not working and staying up. Annoyed about the fact that I still have to pay for accommodation I legally can't live in due to Lockdown.
Library and study spaces used often and easily accessible with a booking.
Very positive and happy to come to this uni. Only issues are very minor.
Regular emails about jobs and employability
Fairly content, though other students cause distractions
Very good and well represented
Very good, only minor issues to nit-pick
Everything is only a short walk away
Large selection of societies though some areas have been missed.
Regular meetings and contact info known
The uni provides many chances to meet new friends and we have many social activities
My uni often hold career lectures
Lecturers write theorems on the front and we record them. It is very clear
I don't know much about that
The accommodation is very safe, but the cost is a little bit higher
It only takes about 10 minutes to walk
The sports are varied
The Pass Group and tutorials are very helpful.
The condition was good. Location is very close to Uni and we have 24 hr security
Good w=quality teaching and content
Too much safety, expensive
Not used so I don't know
Not enough contact or feedback
Food at the Union is way too expensive
Too expensive compared to local housing prices
Lots to do
I find that most societies focus on drinking socials
Was pushed away by SOSS Student Support
I often feel under challenged
Too much compulsory stuff that's not relevant
Far too easy, exams are simple, entry requirements should be harsher so they can teach more challenging content
I don't benefit from the SU
Printers are always out of paper
Everyone is extremely helpful
Very old, Dirty not safe
Great careers services
No because if you have a PhD that means you can teach
Facilities are good, representation not so much
Price, location good but really unsafe
Room for upgrade
One road for everything
My tutor never showed up
The weather is a bit annoying. But its good in general.
In some courses, lectures affected by strike are omitted from the exam.
Good distance for a walk. A bit troublesome for groceries or quick meal.
