The university of Leeds is perfect because it is a campus that is only 5 minutes from the city centre which means you get the best of both worlds. There are a huge amount of clubs and societies on offer and the sport is one of the best I have experienced, with many modern facilities to accompany. Accommodation is a big part of uni life and Leeds has a wide variety of places to stay, I would recommend being on or near campus because then you get a great feel for uni life whilst still being close to the city. The nightlife and shopping in Leeds is excellent and I will guarantee you will never be bored at Leeds uni.
The University of Leeds has been so welcoming since I've started. The quality of my lectures has been outstanding and the university offers a wide range of extra-curriculas. The sport in particular is of sucha good standard, yet the university offers many intra-mural leagues for those who just want to play for fun. Having joined lacrosse, the beginners coaching is also done very well. It puts up great events for those in 3rd year looking for employment and the tutors are very helpful in this area too. Finally, the socialising and going out in Leeds is fantastic. There are always so many nights going on, and huge diversity for those who just want a cocktail to those who want to dance until the morning.
There are a lot of different course at leeds. The great thing is that there are lots of weird and wonderful people on every course.A variety of backgrounds
I'm from North America and I can say that I'm really enjoying my time in Leeds. From the Uni to City everything is perfect... This is a real great experience for me.
Fantastic social experience with a solid academic foundation.
Really friendly city, easy to navigate. Good facilities on campus, great union and excellent sports facilities/societies. Course is great, teaching hospitals are very good.
An amazing university. I have been here for 3 years already and would not want to be anywhere else for the next 3 years of my course! The city is great - not too big but not too small - It's filled with so many opportunities and culture. There is always something to do and somewhere to go. Student accommodation is great although a few are slightly far away but after first year Leeds is one of the cheapest cities to live as a student :)The best thing about the university is that it has one big campus that is in the centre of the town so everything is accessible. All of the societies are really enthusiastic and put on great events. The union is one of the biggest and best in the country with everything you as a student could want under one roof.
Picking Leeds as my university is one of the best decisions I've made !. The English department is up-to -date with loads of opportunities offered to us via our emails (work experience/internships (paid and unpaid) and great modules on every aspect of English literature. The University of Leeds is particularly great for Study Abroad opportunities and ERASMUS and is primarily why I chose to come here. I'm currently on my year abroad in Verona, Italy!
