The university staff are extremely helpful and supportive with all matters including health and wellbeing, not just academically. First year was hard being in a flat of 10 so living with 9 people I had never met before but believe it helped me learning to live with others even if we didn't all get along.
My university experience has been mostly positive. The best part is the supportive lecturers and friendly environment. There are good study spaces and opportunities to meet new people through different activities and societies. However, communication from the administration could be improved, and some facilities need upgrading. More practical learning and career support would also make the experience better. Overall, it’s a good place to study with room for improvement.
Nothing been all good
Great
Good location. Not really sure if all the facilities and services
Student life could be improved
The university campus itself is lovely but there isn’t much student facilities and opportunities for nights out due to the student union
More events that are more engaging to come to and at good times
It is a nice place friendly staff
All the staff are super supportive and the students are really friendly
I feel very supported in school
Best is the staff and people on my course, worst is the uploading of work etc
Really enjoy the society aspects, and the layout of campus, very nice to walk around and the food is nice
The length of lectures
It is modern and has everything we need
The best aspect of my university experience is the teaching staff and the wider university team. The lecturers are supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping students succeed, and the student-facing staff are consistently kind, friendly, and approachable. There is a strong sense that everyone is willing to help, which makes the university a welcoming and encouraging place to study. An area for improvement would be the reliability of facilities, particularly the internet connection and printers, which have recently not been working consistently. Improving this would make studying on campus more efficient and less stressful.
Love the course and my lectures

I’m currently in my second year on the Sports Coaching course and I’ve really enjoyed it. The course is very interesting — we get to use tools like NacSport and GPS systems for performance analysis, which makes it feel hands-on and relevant to real sport. The lecturers are friendly, supportive, and always willing to help, whether that’s with assignments or career advice. They take time to get to know you and genuinely want you to do well. There are also opportunities to work with university teams and local clubs, which has helped build my confidence and experience. Overall, it’s been a really positive experience.
The lecturers are approachable and genuinely care about helping you improve and find opportunities. The only downside is that it can be busy, especially when practical assessments and coursework deadlines fall close together. However, the staff are understanding and help you manage the workload, so it feels challenging in a good way rather than overwhelming.
