I would like to recommend that this university might need some future job opportunities and connections
Good
Too limited buildings. Enlarged space will be cool
It’s small has a community feel to it but it’s lackluster.
The best aspects are the teachers as they care for the students and want the best for you. The worst aspects are the outdated library resources and sometimes communication.
The parking around the university can be quite challenging at time due to the location. However, the teaching quality and dedication to students is phenomenal
The lack of parking facilities around are rubbish.
The best parts are meeting other students and having access to resources in the library, and I like the lectures and trips we go on. The worst thing is that the lifts don't always work well
Meeting new people and excellent resources
I would say there’s a unity feel between students and staff. I think more recognition for students and staff when achievements are had.
Tutors are good otherwise not much to shout about.
Earlier in my degree there was a lot of uncertainty within the forensic cohort especially surrounding lecturer instability. We still see it now with lecturers having to teach modules that are not related to their dedicated area. However, this has not impeded my request for help and support from them but it would be useful to allocate staffing with the school of psychology to their specific area of expertise. From a student welfare perspective…the services are accessible and easy to access. They have helped me tremendously through hard times of student and balancing external family commitments.
The lecturers in the Forensic Psychology department are excellent - they are so supportive and they really made my time at University so much better. They show enthusiasm about the topics and encourage discussion. The library facilities, particularly the individual study pods, are really useful. The Student Union are very supportive and informative - I’ve had to use their services only once but they really reassured me and made the whole process less stressful so I didn’t feel alone.
Varying experiences of student feedback from tutors Feedback on assignments can sometimes be not great/limited
Supportive environment when you can get hold of someone (lecturer) but that’s not always easy.
Some teachers not very supportive Student services okay and student union good
The best experience are the people, the skills we gain, and the relaxed atmosphere. Also the Student Union societies is a really cool opportunity to spend time better and get to know more people
I think there are a lot of resources available lately and even support for international student but I think they could be more facilities to study such as study rooms, more pods available And also more student events!!
Boring tutors . The best is my clinical skills

Bolton public library is amazing. Easy access to student services, fun events, and the library and campus is great, open after hours. I’ve personally found my course isn’t the most organised, but otherwise I am loving it.
Not the most organised. 2 days in person and 1 day of at-home learning Lectures have set hours so maybe only email Wed-Fri. Very nice lecturers and students I’ve found. Small class sizes, no massive lecture halls. 25 in my class (adult nursing) and only 10 in the child’s class.
Price has stayed the same for all 3 years. Once I booked in the first year, my price froze, so for new students it went up, but not for current students, which I think is amazing. 10 min walk from the uni shops in both directions. Easy to speak to maintenance staff, and great things are fixed if needed. Locked gate, security guard, street lights – all very safe.
