I have made a lot of friends here, has been nominated as a best student rep for my class around university campus.
Really nice location and in a good quiet part of town.
Student life is pleasant and the library is very helpful and resourceful. The courses offered do not offer enough variety and places of campus are too expensive (including the library). The businesses on campus and the student hub should keep in mind a student’s budget.
1 The uni has good study spaces and facilities for STEM courses. 2 There is a good support system higher up, and they are happy to try to accommodate most things if you have the time to work through the bureaucracy. 3 There is not much student life stuff higher up. If you want, you can find an AUSA society. 4 It is well located, with easy access to the city centre. 5 The campus feels good and generally blends ancient and modern elements. 6 The union does have good options for food if you don't want to bring lunch to campus. AUSA has been undergoing a period of change, so it is slowly becoming easier for societies to work with. Still, in general, you will focus on the societies without interacting much with the students' union.
Great place to study due to its historical ties and the prestige of its education. However, it does leave a lot to be desired in other aspects of uni life, such as its students' union and its organisation.
Lots of support available which has made the transition to university much easier!
quite nice and welcoming
Love the campus and classes! Think accommodation is pretty average and could be cleaner, but I love my flat and the friends I’ve made in flatmates. Not the biggest range of activities in the Union but still plenty of events.
Student union is good and so is the food court but the food court is only open 11-3 which isnt great. The library is great spacious and modern
Accommodation and university merch; worst The people; best
It's a beautiful campus and the majority of the staff are absolutely amazing and lovely. I wish there were more drinking (alcohol) socials and music events in the union though as we have nothing like that compared to other unis I was considering.
Not really thank you
It’s local and has great physics department. Longer course schedule would be beneficial
Everyone is super nice here. The campus is aesthetically pleasing. Campus is easy to get around. Good little shops near campus that are good pricing for students. Although I do wish the university was closer to town but there is good bus routes near campus.
The chairs in the lecture theatres are not very comfortable which leads to discomfort and also impacts on the ability to concentrate on the lecture going on.
Clean, quiet areas
Good student union and community

Lovely and helpful staff, always willing to help students. Lots of fun societies to join.
Very easy to contact lectures, I love how they have discussion boards and answer within 1-2 days. And great for last minute questions before exams
