Environmental Sciences BSc (Hons)

Student atmosphere is great and some of the lecturers are brilliant. There are amazing facilities with the likes of a new science building with brilliant labs in. A wide range of modules and topics fo choose from which is good and lots of opportunities for field trips as well. However we pay alot of money and yet we still have to pay for the likes of printing and there are alot of things that need fixing and are broken e.g lots of plug sockets in the library are useless as are broken. Some lecturers are not great at teaching and judt expect us to read off of the PowerPoint slide and be done with it. Some modules could be simplified as are over complicated and a price of coursework I was given was incredibly confusing to the whole class as it wasn't clear. There are so many different branches to the uni that if you need help with something you're basically going in circles trying to get to the right person - not too organised in that area Regarding the post-graduation continuation scholarship, the university did not inform students that they had reduced funds from 50% to 30% and have shut down any room for negotiation which has impacted nearly 300 students wanting to do a masters.

Really good student city, good level of teaching and facilities. Campus is really ugly and Grey, More could be done in terms of student support i.e. if you don't go to lectures for months even, they won't check on you.

English Literature BA (Hons)

University rating (5)

The campus of UEA is what I would say is almost perfect. It has lots of green space and is not overwhelmingly large and inconvenient. I can get from one side to the other in time for back to back lectures etc but it doesn’t feel restrictive or too small! It’s like a lovely town full of students. There are all the facilities that you need on campus and it is a place i genuinely enjoy being. One thing I would say is that the Uni is a little way from the actual city centre of Norwich and although buses are frequent it can be a bit inconvenient at times. This is only really a problem if you enjoy going out and shopping, but it can sometimes feel a little detached if you are that sort of person. I am really enjoying studying here, and the content for my course (English Literature) is extremely interesting.

UEA offers a lot of supports for students and it is easy to find connection with stuffs. They are all friendly and willing to help us. ・Worst things. The cost of laundry is so high. It maked keeping hygienic environment difficult.
