Best: Lots of opportunities made available to us, access to facilities/studios and workshops that give us space to work and use expensive applications that we wouldn't normally be able to as students. Worst: Sometimes tutors aren't too helpful with their feedback, sometimes not enough time to see tutors [once a week], not enough student support when course gets hard to deal with, not enough financial support for buying materials.

Like Most: Location was nice, close to everything on campus. Two big fridge and freezers was enough. Windows were nice. Like Least: Way too overpriced, not enough value for money, kitchen facilities often broke very easily and shower's drainage system was not good, not enough ventilation in bathroom, kept gathering dust.

In Fine Art, the course is very expansive and open so there are many opportunities to cultivate prior skills or even learn new ones. Depending on the tutor and their specialism, they can be very educational and helpful, but choose carefully and be open. This course has many opportunities but a lot of it is taking initiative. Being aware of the socio-economic environment around but also being fair to the surface level pretentiousness to be rewarded with a vast world. Because it is so open, there is not much concentrated efforts to help you understand an industry in this capitalistic word that you have to deal with once you leave but the work you make is and feels important and creates a better understanding of yourself.

Too expensive but grateful it wasn't West Park and was close to my classes, good responsive management team but faulty equipment. For students who can hardly afford food and maybe weren't supported otherwise, the price was astronomically high.

When entering 4th/5th year (placement years) you are essentially left alone! No personal tutor, no one overseeing your learning to check you are able to access the correct opportunities. Depending on location of placement - and you can be sent miles and miles away without agreeing to this!!! - you can get a real varied experience and this has a negative and unfair impact on exams. We are often sent away from placements or made to feel useless and annoying. Years 1-3, which involve lectures and tutorials, are well taught and the facilities in Ninewells are good! There does need to be more integration between medics and non-medics however, as medics must attend Ninewells every day so rarely get time on campus to meet non-medics. There are even specific medic sport societies, further separating the students.

Wasn't clean upon arrival however rooms were much nicer than any other halls I visited. En-suites for everyone and 3/4 size beds. Sofas and TV's in kitchens and good fridge/freezer space. Clean corridors and lifts and safe lock access.

With the strikes my contact with lecturers is limited because they can't reply. However they do make an attempt to makeup for lost time.

Very repetitive in the first years and because I’m doing a joint degree they aren’t organised enough to make sure I know enough about both aspects

Maintenance is poor and broken entrances don't get fixed

Flexibility

Maintenance doesn't help fix problems and says there's none. Fire alarms are daily and they take their time to turn it off. Management are unhelpful. The bins are overtaken by rats. The only positive is the location
