UOC is a great place to study because there is so much passion around the campus - staff and students desire to learn and teach. It has a real friendly feel to the campus, everyone is always smiley and happy to help! The library alone is the best bit - you can request books to be at the desk for pickup sometimes on the same day, which frees up so much time for the ace coffees at the café :) If I could improve one thing about UOC it would be for events to be more commuter-friendly eg socials during the day to avoid back and forth driving for those who commute.

My course is back to face to face which is fantastic - learning is blended perfectly between guided and independent tasks! Contact with lecturers is ideal; emails are reciprocated quickly and help is always available. Our timetable is designed helpfully for those who commute - as sometimes there are days free as seminars have been grouped together on previous day's.

The passion from the lecturers involved with the course programme are extremely passionate about the course content and go above and beyond to provide extra curricular/external opportunities that facilitate a link between academia and the industry. Opportunities that encourage networking, extra learning, internship opportunities and potential career routes. The learning facilities at the university are great and offer enough options with everything you need; including 24 hour access. Unfortunately, there are limited social activities and venues in and around campus. The students union offers near to no groups and do little to encourage a more sociable atmosphere. Understandably, it is a small university, but more could be done to improve this element.

I speak as an ART student, which is its own campus. Campus location is in a beautiful part of the country, sandwiched between the Lake District and Scotland. Perfect for those who want a more personalised experience with smaller class sizes generally, and more of a town feel to the city.

The best aspects of my uni experience have been the courses and I was lucky enough to still have on campus time during the pandemic. One great experience I had was the international orienteering weekend at the beginning of my second year that I had the chance to join. It was great meeting other students from different countries and connecting with them. Also, I live in halls with a mix of English and international students which is great as we enjoy learning about our different cultures. I am grateful as well for having a personal tutor who supports me whenever I need it and will always be listened to and get the help I need. Improvements for me could definitely be made in terms of the equipment we have for sport rehabilitation as it is sometimes outdated and our rooms are fairly small. Furthermore, support for traveling to placement is not given on my course which makes it difficult to find places as Lancaster is fairly small and does not offer lots of places to get placement in. But not everyone has a car or the financial resorts to pay for traveling to placements further away.

Difficult to give any negatives given that my degree apprenticeship is delivered online. The time that the uni team has put in behind the scenes to make sure that we don't feel we are missing out on learning has been excellent.

This is my local university which is helpful when It vines to present as it is so diverse and helps to make a decision on what field I want to nurse in. I feel it he student support and overall university could be updated due to lack of technology resources and communication between study fields. During our first year, 90 percent of our learning was online but we did have a in school placement, our online lessons did not go into detail what was expected of us in placement so many of us struggled to adapt to our placements for the first week. Though to be fair I think most universities were having the same issue due to a lack of face to face lessons. However, in our second year most of the learning is in campus and our lecturers ensure we understand our assignments and help guide us in our learning. Being a small campus gives us more opportunities to work and communicate with our lecturers.

The location can not be beaten especially for my course. There is plenty of expert help and advice available along with the required kit you may need to make the most out of the experience. However as it is a small campus the night life is limited and if you don't enjoy drinking/smoking it is hard to make friendships. There has been steps put in place to minimise this however they are still in their early stages
