Location is very good being the centre of Preston and the new exit on the M55 makes it so much easier to get there. I don’t live on campus however for those students that do, there are always events happening in SU or the student centre or in other places. For my course, it feels like we have a shortage of medical equipment so we do a lot of sitting around and waiting until peers have finished so we can have a go. This results in not a lot of skill practice. You can’t do something once to embed it in your brain. You have to go over things a few times and we don’t get that opportunity. The food on campus is very expensive and poor quality. This year they have tried improving things by using different take away boxes however this obviously doesn’t change the taste or price… in fact, it is more expensive.

Comfortable, warm and quiet places to study. The library is chilly, also would be better with desk lights. Best aspect is my personal tutor is really helpful. Worst aspect is the university does not track when people just scan and leave for attendance, and those people are still doing that.

Well I got some great big brains like lecturers so they can help me on every expect even outside of my studies. That why it's great for me . If I say about my worst experience than it was my first uni coffee which was too bitter for me if you leave that coffee out of that subject than uni is been incredible for me

UCLan is such an inclusive and warm university located in Preston with such rich architecture and access to the town centre and lots of social spaces. There is a facility for everything and there is support in every direction.

All the staff and tutors bend over backwards to help students. I have had a great experience so far. Good disabled facilities on campus. The meals are very expensive though so I tend not to eat any lunch on campus. Nowhere to buy food close to Hanover. A Morrisons local or similar would be good on campus to buy snacks, meal deals etc.

I think its a very cute and cozy University, the support is really good but there aren't a lot of good social spaces or ways to make friends besides what events happened during freshers week. I think that sometimes I feel like my classes aren't challenging enough, I feel like I am taking highschool psychology classes again in my first year of Uni, and there aren't enough assignments to fall back on. But I do love this university, and I am thankful to be here, and I like that everything is compact and I think there is a lot of pretty places in Preston.

I think the best aspects of our university are teachers. All students are provided with support, teachers go out of their way and always try to help us whether it’s just a conversation or them helping you to catch up in their free time. University itself has a nice campus, everything is very accessible and I feel very safe here, it is also not far from the town centre so students get to save a lot of money on transport as everything is within a walking distance. The only downside it is just a very rainy and cold city during autumn and winter but it’s just a location. University has very good support system and you can get any help with whatever you need at any time, it’s not only teachers but everything else including student systems, financial support, international student support and anything else that you might need. Facilities are great, new and old buildings are in great condition and good designs. Overall, I think it is a nice university and each year they are getting better and better.
