This university is still running courses written in the early 2000’s. For computer science this is unacceptable. The lecturers have no drive or passion about the subjects they teach. My guess is because they feel the content is stale yet do nothing to improve it. Student central is a complete disaster and whoever designed it needs to take a long hard look at themselves. You cannot be teaching design “best practices” at a university that uses such an archaic and confusing website. One lecturer hasn’t got a clue about working in the industry and it is reflected in their teaching and constant striking which leaves us students without course content that we pay 9 thousand pounds a year for. It is actually laughable. Do not consider this university until they have had a complete lecturer and course content overhaul.

So far it has been going really well! I am only a few weeks in mind you, and there are a few minor faults, but on the whole I am really glad I chose Brighton as I'm really enjoying it here.

Going to this university was the worst choice I ever made. I haven’t learnt anything. I’ve wasted so much money. I feel uncomfortable speaking up when my tutor does things incorectly. There is no support for mental health or job prospects. I feel like I’ve really not had anything worthwhile from this education and I’m now going to try go into an industry with no training. I feel like this uni has ruined my career because I am not suitably trained to even apply to any job or even offer any free assistance. It’s just so poor. I’ve wasted my life.

My final year was very sadly cut off due to the COVID -19 Pandemic. So I finished my Illustration my degree at home, we missed out on all of the infamous final year celebrations that this course does and its been a strange ending to what I felt was a very pivotal three years for me personally and professionally. When they say illustrators are a lovely lot they really mean it, I have met some of the best people during my time here in this wonderful city, which only adds to the sadness of our situation. This course is a community and I will miss my fellow students greatly. Due to the current global situation and shifting the course online, some of the final stages of the course have been quite disorganised and there has been a lack of communication with final results, this is probably down to the current situation,

Amazing, I'm convinced that no other uni is like Brighton uni, it attracts like minded people and they will really make your uni experience. The staff also really care about you and want you to do well and enjoy yourself. There is a lovely special vibe at brighton which I don't think you get at many other uni's
