The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s awards were not collected on uni campuses as usual, but instead based on submissions from institutions, which were then judged by our special student panel.

The overall experience in the university so far has been very fulfilling, I have been able to learn difficult subject matter that I never thought I could. The lecturer's try to connect with the students and build a good relationships with them. Additionally, they are very effective on answering one-on-one questions and are happy to help.
There are drop-in sessions every week and a different day for each discipline, there are lectures once a week for CV and Cover Letter construction and you can book an appointment with the careers & employability centre for further instruction, help and interview advice.
the lecturer's are not monitored about the quality of teaching or the relevance of the topics discussed during a lecture. However, there are close relationships with the lecturer's and they are open to discuss any matter occurred.
The student representation is not really good, however there are plenty of facilities in the Student Union, such as the careers & employability services, a bar, an arcade room, an ice cream bar, pool, ping-pong and many more
Bradford university is considered to have one of the best research labs, the library is open 24 hours for all the students and there is also a security at all times.
Yes, it has all of the above that are listed. In addition, it also has food restaurants in 3 minutes distance and plenty of shops nearby, even off license.
There are societies of all kinds and there is even an Equestrian and Archery. It also has societies for all backgrounds and origins as well as singing, theatre and whatever someone can think of. Even if the required society is not yet formed, someone can easily make their own society which is very nice.
The close relationship with the lecturer's helps to resolve any matters occurred, however there are always some exceptions. The feedback is on point and detailed, but it is slow most of the time. Regarding counselling, the head of the department is available for any problems that may be presented.
its a nice university, however some students are immature. for future students i would recommend them to make good use of personal tutors and to attend workshops
ensures we are taken care of after graduating by giving us access to careers service
few lectures but good staff
very good access to computer and library services
yes can get to and from university easily

At times there where many frustrating moments where I feel like the level of teaching was so awful it reduced me to tears on just how bad the lecturer was however that is certainly not true for all lecturers some have made the course really fun and incredibly interesting. Overall the experience was okay.
Loads of efforts and emphasis has been made on employability and lots of workshops and careers event and booster classes to encourage and help improve skills and emplyability
I like most is the tutorials and that in some tutorials it is not the lecuterer who takes them because sometimes I don't understand the lectureres method so its is useful having someone different take the tutorial classes What I like least is that one lecturer was typing notes during the lecture, it made him seem unprepared plus I didn't learn anything in that manner
Okay, the uniion isn't communicated very well still unsure exactly of the role of the student union and how I can benefit from it,
Okay, usually the study rooms are always fully booked plus closure of Emm Lane campus has downgraded the University facilities as that campus was amazing
Great location, only a couple of minutes walk into city centre, a gym close by and plenty of fast food chains
Lots of variety
Lecturer feedback okay, many times I have been given feedback but then the lectuerer says other things so quite inconsistent Very little awareness on personal counselling
It has been a great honoring journey so far with so much to learn. The university of Bradford provides a conducive environment to learn about other cultures and also with on site advanced technology and interactive projects. I will cherish this experience for the rest of my life.
Job fairs, career advice, CV and interview
I like that the lecturers are one of the best in their field. The course would do great if it involved more the neighboring communities.
It does a great job bringing together all students from diverse backgrounds and creates a welcoming environment for everyone
Well equipped and advanced
Yes. Everything is in a 5 minutes walk
Outstanding and diverse
Very good. Learn a lot of independence alongside working in a more mature environment and knowing help is there if you need it you need only ask and there is loads that uni can offer.
Lots of career workshops, placement opportunities , lots of transferable skills
least is that some lecturers just read off their powerpoints so it is pointless.
Facilities on campus are great and at the 4G astro not far from uni however there are no facilities from uni of playing fields for sports such as both rugby codes.
Majority are very good.
Yes it is in a great location as it is close to town center and all over amenities such as train stations.
Has a plethora of sports.

Many courses come with a placement year and there are many opportunities like volunteering, and the careers development is very helpful
It is very interactive and engaging. Canvas is a really good tool for us to catch up with what's going on and to access all of our learning material
The union is very helpful because they help us with a range of issues and can advise us on what we can do to receive further support
Very good, I enjoy the food, shops, library, sports centre and student recreational areas
Yes, the uni is a five minute walk to the accommodation and there are shops, restaurants and gyms nearby
There are so many different societies and sports which we are able to join, and people also have ideas for more
We have receive good feedback from our academic lecturers when they grade our assignments, and there are many different people and services we can go to when we are in need of personal support
So far it is a really good expierence: I enjoy staying in the lab where the work is exciting and there is a really good atmosphere. I can feel the people supporting me.
I have not had the opportunity to check it
I am a pharmacist thesist, so I am working in the lab
I have not had the opportunity to check it yet
There are plenty of society to choose from
They support me anytime
I feel lost without a paddle sometimes but my nursing placements are fantastic and makes the course worth it. I enjoy the practical sessions and the stories I hear from the child nursing tutors.
There are many job fairs available.
I like the tutors and often feel very inspired by the child nursing tutors.
I think they are fantastic. I feel very supported by them as a student.
I can only speak for nursing and I feel there is a lack in communication.
The university is situated in a good area with local amenities.
There are many societies and sports available. However, I feel these are most suited to students that live on campus or a student without responsibilities such as children.
I feel very supported
average, needs more fun activities and more space on campus. the university is good if you want to do your own thing and take things slow. overall, you to relax and ensure that you actually do some work so your not left stuck at the last minute.
yes, through workshops and drop in sessions
I like that the lecturers are approachable if you need help. I don't like that some of what you learn is irrevelant
yes, as i have a car to travel.
very good variety and options
needs to be improved
