Sort:Latest reviewsThe campus is lovely, athough at first it can be little difficult to find every building you have class in. The student union and support is well done and the student life is pretty cool too. There are plenty of societies to appeal to a wide range of interests already going. My class size is perfect for learning, just enough that you don't always team up with the same few people, but small enough that it's easy to interact. The labs/lecture rooms I have been in have all been clean, feel very up to date and overall comfy enough to sit in for a couple of hours at a time. My personal favourite space, however, has to be the library. It's clean, modern, and there are different areas for talking, quiet studying, and silent spaces. The desks are sturdy and spacious, the chairs are comfy and there are subject libarians who are eager to help when needed.
campus is pretty, good library. Lecturer support can be poor at times and qualities of lecturers can also be poor which makes the learning experience hard.
University of Bradford is wonderful. It’s really diverse university I met students from all over the world and teachers are well qualified and supportive.
The best experience is how quiet the library is as I tend to focus more when it’s quiet. The security are doing a good job. The only think I don’t like is that there’s not much of a halal food options
Bradford town is full of old listed buildings that are beautiful. My favourite to study is in town at the Waterstones. On the uni campus the library nice as the glass front lets loads of light in, looking out to the greenery and sky, it’s a quiet zone so very peaceful and plenty of resources on hand like computers or printers (that are free to use!) Uni SU bar is also very cheap, inviting for students and social events.
The best aspect of the university in terms of the forensic courses is the level of support that teachers are willing to go to make sure that students are getting the best experience. Practical work e.g. mock crime scenes, forensic analysis of evidence, bone labs, paperwork & mock courts are some of the best I have seen so far. Forensic lectures are taught by forensic scientists & people who have 10- 40+ years experience, therefore, I feel confident that everything I am being taught is from the best of the best. I can confidently say that since coming to the University of Bradford, opportunities have opened for me such as the opportunity to go on placement during my course, flexible timetabling, part time work & plenty of societies for students. The university offers forensic labs, a bone lab, a virtual anatomy lab for forensic medical students which aid us in learning anatomy & dealing with bodies at crime scenes. Placement opportunities are endless which so many options to choose from that I often cannot decide which I should choose. Diversity is incredibly important for many students including myself. This university welcomes all from the upper to the lower class, giving us all equal opportunities & treating us all as equals. I feel that I can express my concerns & my worries freely in this university & not be judged for it. I feel that I can practice my religion freely & I am celebrated for it. The University of Bradford welcomes everyone from across the globe & has made international students feel at home & well supported as it can be rather difficult moving to a different country & having a massive culture shock. Student support is ridiculously helpful, with staff who are down to earth & understand your needs & worries. This is incredibly important for students as many times, students feel that they are not listened to, however, the staff in the student support team as always there for you when you need it, making sure you are aware the door is wide open for you. Even through the campus is small, you have everything that you need as it is only a short walk away. Take aways & shopping centres are just at the door steps of students with the city shopping centre a 15 minute walk away with fantastic brads to shop from which offer student discounts from 10 - 25% off big brands. The location of the university has been placed in a place where students do not have to walk too far from the university, they can even grab the bus which takes them to the heart of town. The bus station & train station are only a 15 walk or a 5 minute bus journey away. Student life is always upbeat with fantastic places to eat & dine, with restaurants in the city centre. Most food places are halal so this is fantastic for a mostly Muslim populated area. I would say what was disappointing what the graduation parties. Often times one would expect there to be a large party, however, they are kept rather small due to the budget the university is on. The after part takes place in a small room where they serve cupcakes & wine, but not much else unfortunately which I would love to see improved in the future. I feel that if the budget for the university was more, then the university would have larger & more exciting to be a part of. Finally, I would say that student services often take a bit of time getting back to students due to how busy they are, so I would love to see some improvement with the speed of their services. In terms of food options (10/10), I would love to see some healthier food options for students as a balanced diet is essential for students to study & perform well in exams. I would highly recommend this university to anyone wanting to study forensic science. This is the best place to be where you can be yourself & ask questions without being judged for it.
I appreciate that there is support open at all times for students, there’s different avenues to go down depending on what support you need. Even though it’s a large university with lots of students I fee I have connected with my lecturers well, they know me and so know them, it’s easy to engage in lectures and it’s easy to find the rooms as well. I’m not so much on the student uni life side, in terms of unions and social bars and things as I’m a mature student however, there isn’t any awkwardness about it going into the social rooms like student central or anything, everyone is friendly regardless.

The university grades & stats for my course (Physiotherapy) speak for themselves! The academic side is second to none. The facilities are excellent, you never need to leave campus if you don't want to! And there is an incredible selection of sports clubs & societies. The social side is what you make of it. The thing that let it down a little for me is the student support. I'm a mature student, that lives out & has a disability so I'm in the minority, I know that. On the whole, disability support & the progression scheme for entry are excellent. But when it comes to reasonable adjustments on the course for disability & help with financial aspects, the support has been incredibly difficult to get hold of.
I think all the new updates were really good and have added beauty to the university. There have been changes in some course with put student into shock when we came pack from summer holiday e.g pharmacy. I think there need to be more clarity of the areas of the uni as well as their services. Somethings these things will be hard to find or to notice them.

I love the feel of community at Bradford Uni because it always feel as though we are all together no matter what race, gender, ability you are. The area or the campus and the accommodation means that it is all close together and super accessible for everyone. The students union are amazing, all of the people who work there are so helpful and nice and friendly. The teaching is good but could be improved by including recordings of every lecture so they can be used afterwards, plus they should be more accommodating of special educational needs.

Best- studying in a hospital setting. To get to uni I have to walk thought the main hospital building and it really gets you exited and makes you feel like you are part of the trust. Because we are a small group, the pace of lectures is completely dependent on the students. If we need soemthing to be explained again or need more time on soemthing it can always be facilitated. Worst- some of the lectures we have received twice which is a shame because there are subjects which would have also been useful. Some further exposure to learning disability nursing and other things such as pain management would have been more productive in these times.
The university of Bradford offer many great courses, one being paramedic science! This course is very unique and is only one in the country that offers paid placement year. Very interactive course, the tutors are hands on and offer support when needed. Further support for uni life is also available for any student experiences such as finance, health and social aspects. It’s also local to many people and offers more than any other university would.

Great academic experience and loads of support. More time to have personal experience in the labs doing relevant experiments. See personal academic tutors regularly and staff reply within 48 hours. Student social life not as good as other universities as bradford has a less lively experience in some ways. In others the university and the city has a diverse culture and it reflects this.
Beautiful city, great location for the campus, friendly staff and students. need to get a bigger car park and bigger spaces for dining.
The university facilities have been absolutely amazing, and exceptional here! I’m a third year student, so far I love my experience and look forward to learning. I have come across some great people here, at the University of Bradford. The staff I’ve come across have been really helpful, and assisted with my questions as well as meeting my learning needs accordingly. I would recommend this university to any student who is interested in studying a course here.

The campus is nice in itself - however there is a lack of seating areas and dining areas in the main Richmond building. Never have an issue finding a place to study in the library and library staff have always been helpful when I've asked for help with something. The communication and organisation between lecturers and students needs MAJOR improvement. My uni experience has been largely affected because of the poor organisation and communication from staff. Lectures need improvement, don't just put up a PowerPoint and read from it without engaging in a conversation or debates. It is difficult to learn that way and most of my class mates agree. We're paying almost £10,000 a year plus interest to study but it feels like I certainly haven't got my monies worth at any point in my degree. Shame.

The facilities, location, and course is good but student support and resources are not. It's hard to find information when you need it.
The lectures are helpful, though there is not actually a lot of teaching time. A lot of time is spent on independent study.
