The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s awards were not collected on uni campuses as usual, but instead based on submissions from institutions, which were then judged by our special student panel.

Could not have picked a better university for my teacher training. The turors have valuable experience such as decades of teaching practice and Ofsted knowledge, which makes the course relevant to todays demands. The course requires the deep dive into education research which builds a solid foundation for the future. I feel privileged to train with the university of Bolton!
Modules well thought through, brilliant support from tutors, best guidance for future career.
my experience is good at the University of Bolton uni. I learned a lot of things even though my university was online. Now we have a practical session once a week on Friday so I love attending them and enjoying every single class.
they have so many
The overall course was good, however lecturers tended to favourite certain students who would then receive more assistance, experience opportunities and job opportunities. Lecturers also didn’t like to help too much when it came to assignments and when asking for feedback we would receive next to none if any.
Patronized as a mature student, not contacted about my options to move on spoke to like a 19 year old and then told my choices are invalid because I should either leave the course or be put back.
Not facilitated well.. spend at least 3 university zoom days answering people's questions of apps
Civic restrictions have changed things but expectations are still the same
Not much and not explained
Absolutely none. After getting chronic pain condition the support I got 2as get off the course or forget about learning for a bit
Academically good but everything else is daunting. The university is not very responsive to non-academic topics. If you are purely focused on studies then go but if you are focused more on extra curricular then...it is not the place to go.
As an international PHD student not many opportunities are offered. It is more independent.
Personal teaching style ie small size, sociable and insightful.
Definitely cater for the students. They really listen. On point representation! Great facilities ie the lounge, games room, movies, snacks, activities and the loft. (Hang out places).
Decent require more development.
Definitely! Everything is closeby.
Societies definitely cater to the diversity of students within the university. However, there are limitations to the societies in what they can do under the university policy.
Very good especially academic.
Library staff not helpful for loans that are overdue by other student, don't want to do interlibrary loans as and I quote "It will cost them money" - any point in adverting it
Practical part. Lecturers not enough teaching experience to teach at post grad level
library - dirty (dust etc on tables, not enough cleaning)
Whole place needs better organisation and more professional staff
good food locally
lecture room really cold
not enough sorts
I really enjoy being part of that university and hope to be back soon
its okay but prices are too high
