Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
Academically good but everything else is daunting. The university is not very responsive to non-academic topics.
If you are purely focused on studies then go but if you are focused more on extra curricular then...it is not the place to go.
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
As an international PHD student not many opportunities are offered. It is more independent.
Course and Lecturers
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
Personal teaching style ie small size, sociable and insightful.
How many contact hours per week do you have?
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
Definitely cater for the students.
They really listen.
On point representation!
Great facilities ie the lounge, games room, movies, snacks, activities and the loft. (Hang out places).
How good are your university’s facilities?
Decent require more development.
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
Everything is closeby.
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Societies definitely cater to the diversity of students within the university. However, there are limitations to the societies in what they can do under the university policy.
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
