I have loved studying here, very happy I came to Abertay.
Good work placements and advise meetings available
Few classes, gives time for placement and personal studies
Close to university and peaceful.
Close to home and shops
A lot of sports/.non-sport societies
All areas are covered well
Overall very good, staff are generally very helpful and friendly
They closed it despite student complaints
Library is well stocked and staff are helpful
No local bowling alley but most things are within walking distance
societies are great! Sports are great and it is difficult to join more than 1
Usually good if you seek out support
Sporting facilities are next to none
It's been different, slowly adapting.
The practicals that are shown regarding crime scene and preservation.
I have settled in well and look forward to the rest of my experience
I attend awareness class about employ-ability
I like the tutorial classes the most I least like having to come in for just a 1 hour tutorial
The computers are super fast and easy to use
Excellent student support which is non judgemental
The appointments at the careers service are helpful.
I really enjoy the tutorials in smaller groups, as they are open and friendly.
The university is close to the centre that is really convenient.
There aren't many sport teams and they're only basic types of sport but the existing teams are really friendly.
You can get really good help for writing and speaking skills as international student.
BAD! I made a mistake transferring to Abertay. It's an awful place. There is nothing good about it. I suspect they write their own reviews here. Reality is something else. Also don't expect a good reference from anyone there. I read the reference that a course instructor sent to my employer, it was petty and mean. The worst lecturer I met was a man from Dunfermline who hates anyone from outside the area, particularly the English or people from Glasgow/Edinburgh. He told me my work was technically excellent, but he just didn't like me. That was the level of unprofessional garbage that goes on in the place. I had never done anything wrong, or said anything out of place to the man.
I have noticed no difference. The degree is worthless.
The technology is dated. The lecturers are stupid, and not one of them has a clue about the industry. I doubt that they'd be employed in anything other than the lowest job in the industry. They really do not know what they are talking about.
Rough around the edges. Too many trouble-makers, and people on the fiddle.
The accommodation is very poor. We had no heating in the rooms for months in the winter, and were told not to use the showers at one point. I progressed from the Flu, to Bronchitis and to Pneumonia. I was hospitalised and almost died. Those were the result of the terrible accommodation.
Dundee is okay. It can be dangerous at times, so do watch your back when you are out and about. The locals detect students by their accents, and some of them will mock you.
Usual. Many of them are fronts for people who are using them to fiddle. You won't see the people who start the clubs, but they get the money.
RUBBISH! I cannot even give a single star for this. The lecturers are rude, and will not support you in any way. Don't expect any help or a tutorial if you don't get some part of their OBSOLETE technology. They'd rather you left the course, than spend an hour telling you what you need to know. Once your grant cheque is cashed they don't care if you stay or leave.
Great support and education . My lecturers went out of the way to support me through my degree.
Clean and well managed
Good course, nice lectures and good facilities.
I have already accepted a graduate offer.
Good, more and more societies popping up.
