I love it so far at university as everyone is very nice and i feel that I can always approach staff members and can ask them anything and get a response which will satisfy my curiosity.
The facilities available are excellent as there are always computers available to use if needed and there is also study rooms which small groups of students can use. The canteen also offers a range of foods to meet students needs.
The support given by tutors is amazing as they always try to give enough support so you can make certain changes which helps to increase grades. The university also have a councillor which students can use for free to ensure students dont have any troubles and can always speak to someone if needed.
I have not been involved with the Students' Union as i am concentrating on settling into university life but i would like to get involved in the next two years.
The city life is good and it have a very good vibe and atmosphere.
There are many clubs and societies which help students feel welcome so they can also fit in and make new friends.
The best thing about the lecturers is that they offer amazing support and explain theories and ideas in ways which make it easier to understand. They are passionate about their job and they are very approachable.
They offer students to take a free language course in their first year to improve theit employability and they have a department called UCB Hired which concentrates soley on making students moee employable by sorting out job opportunities and placements. They offer a compulsory module called Academic Skills to first year students doing degrees associated with Education and Teaching. This module focuses on aiding students to improve skills needed throughout the course due to having time management tasks and essay writing ones. The Academic Success Centre offers students support as they give advice on how to reference correctly and how to improve essays and reports by increasing readings used.
Assignments good feedback
Fun! Competitive
Help when you need it
Campbel properties not reliable agents
While studying at UCB, changes to the course were made midway through and confusion was constant around what modules the course involved and the way you hand your assignments changed halfway through making it harder to hand your work in if you have any problems
This is a genuinely nice place to study. The lecturers are friendly and well qualified and bring a wealth of experience. They are a good mix of young and trendy against traditional and experienced. The courses on offer are specific, yet those such as Leisure and Recreational MANAGEMENT which have been lambasted by some critics, as true innovation and expose a student to a range of local government, council and business issues as well as global issues in a different light, all from a MANAGEMENT perspective. Excellent !!
