I really think is an amazing university. I would improve by extending the bar schedule because students like to stay at university during afternoon and evenings and it normaly closes at 3pm. The classrooms don't have sockets which is a pitty since everyone uses their laptops nowadays. I don't remember anything else I could add
I experienced both formats of this course and I think this one is really boring compared to the other one. I'd rather have 3 modules at the same time for 12 weeks rather having one for 6 weeks, it becomes boring coming to university just to have the same module every week
I love my university because it provides great facilities , lectures and seminars. The teachers are passionate enough to individually consult with you about the course they provide email of each lecturer so that we can connect anytime. Only 1 negative aspect that I have found is that they don't care about students mental health. Some of the things that lectures say are hurt full and mean. Other then that It's all rainbows and sunshine.
My course is business related and I have been given an assignment which is a research about a delivery company. This is really interesting and I have learned a lot about how a company works like how they keep their customer in their circle. And another module is about communication where we have to make a group of 4-8 students and organize an event in our city. It's a fun little group active as far as now it's going great.
it would be great for an outdoor learning space where we can study and
more time to do assignments within lessons extra support within the lesson
University college Birmingham has a building that is newly built it gives luxury vibes and all buildings are well taken care of the university is always clean there are multiple water fountains which means I can always keep my self hydrated and there are a lot of free study places that you can stay in and study
Overall teaching methods are amazing in mixed between online and face to face making it easy to also adjust your self with work etc.
Good support from lecturers, other students, societies and other university services (library etc). The restaurants close at 3pm which is annoying when I have lectures that start after that and cant go in to get a drink.
Lots of hands on experience in a kitchen (both in the training restaurant and skills kitchens)
Good support and a safe place to be in
courses are well taught and planned.
There are amazing facilities, especially for my course, that I love. However the hours I’m there and limited breaks I have means I can’t really explore more of the campus and the other facilities and buildings.
The facilities are amazing! Almost everything we need is provided which is huge help. All my lectures so far have been really helpful when it comes to understanding tasks, as well as really friendly and engaging, this has helped me understand my assignments more as I’m able to ask more questions and talk to them easier. However, the hours we have are long with no breaks which can make it hard sometimes but I still love it
One of the best days at uni is open days when you can start meeting people
The timetable is good, the activities the teacher proposed are in my opinion a good way to teach us better
Everything is perfect. I couldn't find a better place to study. Thank you UCB
👍👍👍
The best aspect is that whenever you need something there will be always someone ready to help you and that for a student who leave alone far from they own family is a really big help
Best thing is that all our teacher are always ready to explain in more than one way the same subject until you get it totally. The worst thing is that sometimes the lecture’s time are a bit challenging
