The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s awards were not collected on uni campuses as usual, but instead based on submissions from institutions, which were then judged by our special student panel.
2021 WUSCA winners
More products should be easily accessible - both lessons and workshops More lectures - 2 a week in my opinion does not suffice £9000 a year
Good placement schemes, help get experience for future employment
Some lecturers - very informed, make PowerPoint interesting and engaging
Who are they - where are they?
Need more quiet 3rd year study space Need cheaper food options
Good - except close times in town
Seem like 'status quo' circles Not well advertised Freshers fair / socials are too intimidating
Unless student seeks it - it is hard to get. However, if pro-active some lecturers are amazing at helping. They are lovely
Enjoying practical sessions
Even though I have a job there is support if i needed one
Would like more tutor support
Very good facilities
Good nights out lots of things to do
Not in any societies
sometimes the modules are useful and ran well, some are the complete opposite
hired, but could be more centred to our course
wish we had a choice in the modules we did
no bar to go out in/seating area
okay could have better product brands for makeup
fun due to the area, sometimes dangerous
mainly sport centrered
better this year for mental helath problems
Unless you play sports, there are none.
The majority of staff are friendly and supportive.
Barely anything's been said.
Majority of lecturers have an open door policy, however 1 or 2 don't even respond to emails.
Some of the spaces to work just aren't big enough.
Majority is great.
Good, need to update EU prospectus about lecturers and courses for BA available.
1 time being a student ambassador Job offers from uni temps doesn't apply to any profile experience.
2 hour contact with tutors.
Cambrian Hall good.
I have enjoyed meeting new people
Everyone in my group is struggling with 1 assignment and we have not received any help
Being a L4 course rep, the meeting did not cater to us at all
some modules are really good, ran well understandable however some are the complete opposite
there is hired but every time I try there is no help
depends if you get a good lecturer
don't know anything and no student bar or no place to chill
they are okay
