Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
It is great so far but because I have joined many societies and I am on the Exec team of two my schedule is packed and I do not have time for myself, but overall I know I can make it through because I am in Lancaster University.
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
I am in the Uk on a Tire4 Visa so I am not allowed to work but there are many workshops about jobs whether part time or full around the campus every now and then also we have an office called the BASE and they help students look for jobs they are interested in.
Course and Lecturers
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
How many contact hours per week do you have?
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
I was amazed that our university has something like this, I am a very active student and the student Union guided me to the societies I am interested in and I managed to join many of them.
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Standard wash basin room, my room is worth the money I pay, I expected it to be smaller than it is buy it is not, it is perfect. I have a wonderful view and facilities are great.
How good are your university's facilities?
Very good, except for the construction that never ended since I got here.
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Amazing, I am thinking of presenting my own idea and create a society myself because of how societies are important here.
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
