Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
It has been a really warm and welcoming environment however I'm very disappointed with the course. I expected a lot more from it. It doesn't feel energised or fun, the lecturers don't seem to want to be teaching us and seem bored by the syllabus.

Course and Lecturers
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
The course isn't heavily lecture based and is practical in the way it's run. You get a lot of time to socialise and be around your peers.
There are a lot of contact hours but nothing much gets done. Most of the time you're having to teach yourself about how to produce comics rather than the staff doing that.
How many contact hours per week do you have?
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
The student union have been nothing but lovely. Receptive to any help I've needed and willing to listen.
What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Fantastic, all around just the best accommodation. Don't go through the university though, it's £20 more a week. Contact them directly.
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
Stoke is a bit barren, but the university provides good restaurants and small shops to stock up on essential food.
Tesco and Sainsbury's aren't too much of a walk away and if you drive it's even easier.
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
Huge variety of things to pick from
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
Very good. Provide free learning assessments to provide students with mentors and additional care.
