I was lonely in university and felt excluded because I wasn’t living on campus and I wasn’t white . The only societies are sports based but I enjoyed my course and the department were lovely
The careers department were excellent and friendly but there were not many options for my course unfortunately
I like the seminars and found them engaging However there could be more online content
Underpresented and not diverse enough
Everything is old and outdated . Needs an upgrade especially the library
It’s really isolated and dead. A good 30 min walk from the nearest down which is uninhabited
Only have sports society’s , doesn’t cater to everyone
My course has excellent tutors with the exception of one who was degrading and a bully. The well-being service were excellent and accommodating and really caring about mental health. Library staff are friendly and kind
I am very much enjoying my experience. I love the catering because it gives me a good step into being somewhat independent but not immediately thrown into the deep end.
As I do a history degree my job options are fairly confusing and I have yet to find what direction I want to go in however, there are lots of facilities at the uni to guide you with options.
I like that I’m only in 3 days a week but I think I will enjoy it more once I can pick my own modules.
Very good, they run lots of very well organised events and are very good at keeping you involved in the university community.
Very good, gym is very cheap and food is also good.
Yes, many shops within walking distance and on campus accommodation,
Sports variety is amazing. Societies could be more broad but I’ve managed to join the drama one and enjoyed it so far.
Very good, tutors are very easily accessible and counselling is there all week if needed.
Very good. Made lots of friends. Learnt lots of skills. Enjoyed by time in and out of the classroom. Some ups and down but with the support available it is manageable.
Career meetings and appointments available. Work placement during modules give us experience. Taught a variety of skills in preparation for the work place.
The interaction between students and lecturer are very good. Sometimes the room size is too big to allow full participation .
Very good. Well represented by student council and facilities
Good facilities. Options
Yes. Close to station and shops.
Fantastic variety of sports and societies for different people.
Plenty of lecturers available to talk if tutor is busy. Didn’t use personal support
Good and friendly, social is good.all fascilities are a walk away as well as lectures. Lecturers are very fridnly and have made me more confident in myself. Good experience
A brilliant, all in one place
Lots of placements.
Very gross floor.
More non-sport societies.
employment rates for graduates is huge
£3 per pint, the best thing ever
specific to my needs
2 local train stations and 2 bus stops
hugely engaging and supporting
Lots of advice available.
Good - active and engaging.
Want a swimming pool.
Need non-sport societies to be more social.
Good well-being service.
Halls were awful and no support given generally.
I have to have a degree for teaching.
I like how friendly and knowledgeable they are. However, sometimes it's really boring.
They're good but I don't know how to contact them.
There are lots of shops and nice cafes.
I think that a lot of the societies are good but I wish there were more.
Well-being is helpful and useful.
Full on but good
Good course for placements, have 3 in the year
Provide ideas for school teaching, sometimes very talky in lectures
There's always something broken
15/20 minute walk to uni, ideal.
Training times could be better for students with full timetables
Had talks, there if we need
