Fashion Photography (including foundation year) - BA (Hons)

One of the most powerful forces in shaping one's persona — and, of course professional journey, — are universities. Depending on their approach, some emphasise a competitive edge, challenging students to push their limits in high-stakes environments; others, however, offer such unique and specialised course that competition fades into the background, creating a space where learning becomes a pure, uninhibited exploration —and that was my experience in the Fashion Photography course at London Metropolitan University.

Photography - BA (Hons)

University rating (4)

My experience as a photography student has been great here, all the tutors and technicians are passionate and welcoming, and the facilities are really convenient. They're understanding of students' individual situations, for example when there are train strikes, they understand that there are students who live over an hour away, so they make the lesson accessible online so it's completely fair.

Fine Art - BA (Hons)

University rating (4)

The tutors and teachers are all amazing, they care about their students, our work and our success. The studio space is fine, and I've heard a lot better than most universities in terms of space! Storange could be improved. The print, ceramics, woodwork, photography studios are great. The actual campus is what could be improved - a car crashed into the entrance of the university last year and it still has not been fixed, the atrium is fine, but when there are exhibitions and the tables are taken out, there is no real space to eat lunch and work at the same time. Overall, the university provides students with what they need to learn.

London met is full of facilities, from a huge library to a cafeteria serving hot and cold food everyday. In the centre of London transport is easy and plenty of opportunities surrounding it, the library has such a wide collection of books with lots of study rooms too, everyone is so friendly so you never feel lost or lonely.
