Journalism - BA (Hons)

University rating (5)

It has a very social feel and it makes students of all ethnicities feel welcomed. The tutors are nice and involved with the students which helps as well.

Fashion Marketing and Journalism - BA (Hons)

University rating (4)

The uni has lots of places to study - I really like the study pods near the Junction. Maybe the facilities could be updated and cleaned a little more.

Journalism (including foundation year) - BA (Hons)

University rating (1)

It has been terrible. There have been a ridiculous amount of strikes this year, our deadlines have not been adjusted accordingly, and we've not received any compensation. I find it genuinely embarrassing to admit that I study at this institution.

THIRD YEAR

Journalism, Film and Television Studies - BA (Hons)

University rating (3)

The location is good if you ignore the crime and looking out of your window one day to see a man with a knife. I received the best counselling from a man who is no longer there but did a fantastic job, and it was free. Some of the lecturers are very passionate. However a lot of the building is dilapidated, smelly and sometimes too hot/cold. If you do a degree like Journo, Film and TV you will do 99% Journalism with the other elements more or less neglected. Certain modules (Broadcast Journalism) are diabolical, unorganised and disappointing. The student union has hardly any societies up and running compared to other universities in london. There’s a lot of reading off slides more than anything actually engaging. Overall would not recommend.
