International Relations and Politics - BA (Hons)

University rating (4)

Great location, easy to get to, central but not too central. A really great student support service, as well as many free activities throughout the semester e.g. sip and paint, yoga etc. The toilets all have free sanitary products which is great and the cafes and coffee shops on campus are also lovely. The academic mentor service stands out at London met, the process of getting in touch, through email or teams meetings is easy and efficient and the guidance and feedback provided is excellent. Most of the lecturers are genuinely passionate about the areas they teach and equally as passionate in supporting us in our learning whilst also enjoying the journey as much as possible. Improvement to the university could be achieved by bettering the sports societies, a bigger variety and more promotion of the facilities and clubs that are available. As well as insuring that lectures provide a welcoming and relaxed environment whereby students feel they can openly ask lots of questions without judgement or a sense of hostility in the room. I also believe that more time spent on study skills and applying the content to academic tasks would be massively beneficial to academic aspirations and achievements, and would also reduce stress in the long-term.

I would say that in terms of employability and student services it is great, the only thing that I would change, or improve, is the student life and I would do so by adding student events which helps students in meeting new people.

The best thing is that everyone is always very keen to help you and you never feel left alone. The worst thing is probably the distance from town.
