Dietetics and Nutrition (4 years)

I love to study at London Metropolitan university because tutors always do everything for you to achieve great results, boost confidence and they work so hard to make our journey easier. Dietetics and nutrition course is tough, but with so much support from tutors it definitely makes it easier. I value their hard work. It is truly great experience, and I don’t think i can say something bad about whole experience, it just takes a lot of work and effort to study but it is so worth it.

I love the lectures, however last years spring nutrition lectures and practicals were not well planned. Looking forward for year 2.

This has to be the most incompetent university in the northern hemisphere. The SHSC comprises the largest body of staff incapable of performing their duties. The uni is the epitome of Murphy’s law: if they can make something go wrong for you, they will. The lack of professionalism and integrity is shocking. Administrative and most teaching staff have no regard for the impact their inefficiency has on students - making decisions that can be damaging and cause real mental harm without flinching. They should feel ashamed, but they don’t. Studying here is like staring in the worst dystopian horror movie imaginable. I cannot think of a worse period in my entire life than the miserable time I spent at London Met. The course materials are out of date. The lectures are mind numbing. The lecturers can barely speak English and lack the capacity and capability to engage in analytical discussions. Honestly, choose anywhere but London Met if you want a positive, encouraging and enjoyable experience. Managing all the incompetencies demonstrated by the staff will drain you of your will to thrive and live. To say I hate the place underrepresents the depth of my loathing.

a small supportive community with supportive lecturers could do better with more activities within the students subject and also in extracurricular opportunities and events/conferences to help students build other skills

The University provides a lot of services and there is always a department or person to speak to when in need of something. We are sent a weekly newsletter which communicates all the changes and events and so forth available. Support available to students is made clear and lecturers are easily accessible. The location is perfect and overall I am extremely happy with my course and peers. Improvements to some of the facilities as they are old and dated. There is sometimes an issue with space compared to Campus Uni's. Silent and quiet working areas and more spaces to study would be appreciated. The Uni library has reduced it's size to make more space for a nursing space at the expense of reducing quiet working areas.

The campus is always clean and the modern facilities give a nice feeling. Departments like admissions or fees are always slow to answer and require constant chasing.
