The chance to carve my own path.

Moving on to the PhD course aspects, there are few concerns and little feedback about the course arrangements, though some positive feedback is coming in from newly graduated PhD students. A few PhD students would appreciate more information about PhD conferences and teaching opportunities from the university, however, as new PhD students may have no idea how to find these activities and opportunities otherwise. This is the only concern in this area.

There are two other issues related to the physical facilities on this campus: the main gate and the elevator. Since the main gate broke last year, it seems like no one has sought to fix it and it has been left as it is. Many students favour this gate as it is close to the tube station and more importantly, there are a few homeless people and beggars, etc. who walk around near the back door at night time, which has the potential to cause some safety issues.

Moving onto the elevator near the back door, it is a similar situation. The elevator broke down a few weeks ago and it seems like the University staff stopped trying to fix it after a few visits. This means that all the students must now use another elevator and walk through the staff office and kitchen in order to get to their lockers and the design studio on the fourth floor.

The best part is that my degree is accredited and very practical. I wish some of the lab equipment (oscilloscopes) was updated.

The lecturer and supervisors are easy to contact and very helpful

I enjoy the ambience at my university, the amazing location it has for one of it’s campus near agate and one near arsenal stadium. The library at uni is quite big and has many study area and quite spacious.

There are many staff dedicated to help us when in need which is commendable

Online with 2-3 meeting with my 2 supervisors every week. They is a regular update on my progress and I got feedback from them on my work timely which has been very helpful.

Very supportive portals are made available for student specially a portal where we can apply for in-house internships in uni or for other companies too
