The course I’m doing isn’t bad itself. Teachers are always open to help and lectures feel nice to learn in.
much to be desired
Improve laptops in lapsafes.
More funding for equipment, especially for foundation students. More support with studies and time frames. More industry speakers and projects
Great facilities but low availability Great location
More funding in fashion and more support for students

Nowhere near value for money, staff don’t care about students, I wish I never came here. I put in an official complaint, their response was delayed several times, then they dismissed the complaint without addressing the main issues.
I’m happy to have had the opportunities I have had so far on this course, but my personal experiences have been quite mixed and as a result I am changing courses; but within Ravensbourne. I wouldn’t want to change universities as I really enjoy the atmosphere and the practical style of learning.
This university is a soul sucking place which takes your curiosity, enthusiasm, hopefulness and joy and TRAMPLES all over it and crushes you. The tutors are little boys with ego problems who manipulate students for their own personal gain or masochist pleasure. AwFULL!!! do NOT GO HERE
I think the best way to describe ravensbourne is it is great for industry, it is the perfect university set up and collaborative / creative aura that fills the building. However, if you’re going to uni for the “uni experience” this isn’t it. The building being quite small for the amount of people it holds (Post 16, Undergrads, Postgrads, incubation) means that there is always a struggle for rooms and space. There’s not much that goes on within the uni that encourages a social or community aspect. This is seen when most people leave by 5, and the university is quite empty after and the lack of society’s available, which is a real shame.
In terms of societies there are next to none and the ones that there are are underfunded. The SU is trying to make everything better though. Extra help is there in terms of finance, therapy etc which is amazing. The lecturers are also really lovely and offer to help if you need it.
Easy to settle in and make friends and get to grips with the course. More importantly it’s not just buildings but a range of modules that interlink with other subjects
Disgraceful, disgusting and disrespectful Really can’t wait to leave and definitely don’t recommend it. They also treat international students like criminals. Money is their first priority.
Since joining Ravensbourne, my personal and professional growth year on year has been unimaginable. Each year, I have achieved things that I never imagined the year before. At the beginning of my academic journey in year 1, my tutors helped me to set my own academic priorities through effective self evaluation and reflection. From this point, the rest was down to me and I am proud to say that I have travelled to places and played a part in organisations I didn’t think I would for years into my career thanks to the connections fostered by the staff at Ravensbourne which each student can maximise to their own need. Don’t choose Ravensbourne for an easy ride because you will be disappointed! Choose it because you see the value in being challlenged to grow and develop beyond your imagination.

The communication between students and staff (tutors) is so unorganised and often times students are left confused and in the dark about things that are happening with regards to their classes. My course tutors are very well organised and helpful but the other tutors for things like electives is very out of order. We find out things very last minute and a lot of the time some students don't know about important things until it's too late. For example, the most recent elective the second year students have to do was all over the place and last minute that a number of students are now in a bad position for this elective unit. I've spoken to multiple people about this and it continues to happen. I am sick of it.
My course tutors are amazing.
