Definitely could make the uni look and feel more vibrant. Sometimes feel need of a good clean and tidy up. Feels a bit old and not kept up especially at mile end at the front near the clocktower. Learn from other universities to improve student spaces. Student spaces lacking in Whitechapel especially after the removal of the older student union building merging with garrod building has meant a reduction in space .
My experience at uni has been mostly positive. The course is engaging and the practical elements make it more interesting. Many lecturers are supportive and the facilities are helpful for studying. However, communication and organisation could sometimes be improved, as information can occasionally be unclear or late. Overall, it’s been a good place to learn and gain experience
have absolutely loved my time at this university! The facilities are top-notch and always well-maintained, providing a perfect environment for studying and relaxing The campus location is incredibly convenient with everything you need right on your doorstep Student support is fantastic and the staff are always ready to help whenever you face any challenges The students union organizes amazing events that really bring the campus to life and make student life unforgettable If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to add more seating areas in the library during exam season since it gets quite busy Overall I highly recommend studying here!
I really like how students' wellbeing is as important to the school as their academics.
No help with navigating family commitments
The best aspect: the university listens to us. They care. They take our opinions into account and change the way they deliver the curriculum to suit students. They are understanding. Improvement: The student cafe should be a little bit more affordable.
Career prospects are strong here due to the strong support from the careers team, especially for finance-based roles; I personally took a lot of opportunities with extracurricular projects and experiences which really helped with entering a career in finance
The quality of teaching is very good, with some modules greatly benefiting my career development and knowledge. The format was very convenient, although lectures did feel to drag and drain towards the latter half. Studying in the library is very effective, where I was able to hang around with friends and do some chilled studying or go to the quiet study room and lock in. The opportunities available are plentiful, having greatly benefited from the scholarship scheme, QMentoring and the Student Consultancy Project. However, with university, the opportunities are always available but it's up to the individual to truly grasp and capitalise on them. I should've joined a society sooner to build a stronger connection with like-minded individuals as well as participating in more opportunities as I had the time and they were free. Also, there should be more emphasis on spring weeks and internship applications, and more support to help students land those competitive placements.
Love the community and location but the staffing is abysmal and means I cannot contact who I need to easily and huge parts of the course have been cut
Competent teachers the only thing is that it can get a bit boring. More activities would be nice
The best thing about my uni experience. The uni i Campus is very close to central London and a lot of shops nearby, as well as places to eat. This makes it a good place to hang out with friends. Also the facilities within the campus is amazing. However, I feel like the campus look can be improved a little bit more, still really great though!
It is great that all lectures are recorded- that helps with catching up if you are ill. Wish that tutorials also were recorded.
Best: all the lectures are recorded so you can catch up on content when you aren’t able to attend in person Worst: For my course, reading week isn’t a time to catch up on work but instead to submit coursework/ midterms
Best aspects- love that is it a multicultural community. Bad aspects- some professors don't really try their best to teach. And expenditure is too high
The University supports students, and the communication is quick. On top of that, there are numerous opportunities for students to engage in extracurricular activities, and to explore job opportunities.
One of the best things is the variety of people and culture. It's a breath of fresh air to meet people with different perspectives and experiences, makes interacting with people less monotonous (and with uni schedule it will sometimes feel that way). There a lot of societies and I think there's something for everyone. As a place to study, it has a very good library services - very modern and with lots of space as well as a small building that is 24h open. The university location, it is in a place where there are a lot of shops and very close to zone 1 so we can visit many places in London. Before we used to have the library open 24/7 but they changed the rule so only a small building is open 24h (but still with the same facilities as the library like printer or computers)
The best aspects are the societies and overall community feeling. The teaching is excellent but the facilities occasionally seem a little bit ignored.
Employment opportunities.
Best aspect- the area and accessibility Worst aspect- sometimes the teaching isn’t great

Best: well-rounded, educated lecturers that are enthusiastic about contributing to our learning; lots of societies providing opportunities Worst: assessors for written assignments and PBL tutors tend to not give a level playing field for marking/educating - we don't get taught exactly the same things as the rest of our cohort, it is tutor dependent (PBL, clinical skills, etc)
Good amount of in-person work to do, not enough weighting on what is most important to learn/not enough emphasis. Not enough early patient contact experiences - GP tends to be dull and not very beneficial
Good value for money considering the East Central London location The study area would unfortunately close at 10pm when people would still want to study in the evenings There wasn't enough regulation on noise and behaviour which made it a distracting environment at times No ensuite bathrooms available for medics unfortunately
