It is a fantastic place to study because of its location, student life, student support, student union and facilities. Oxford is beautiful, and the campus is modern and easy to locate. I never feel alone because of the city's other students and colleges/universities. The university offers many excellent study facilities with computers, laptops, and an extensive collection of library books and online sources. The student community is very supportive, and the student union is very active and provides many opportunities.
My course is taught with blended learning. We are informed of the learning type through our calendar, which is easy to access, and I can always get help if I find any issues. I achieved and completed a work placement year through the university, as there was a specific course for work placement finding, and I could access help and support throughout the process. I can talk to my lecturers and tutors during their office hours and have had no issue contacting them.
It was a fantastic accommodation/hall. It was in a great location, with bus stops outside the halls that could take you to the Headington campus and the City Centre. It was within walking distance of the campus and supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl. It had a gym on-site, a football/basketball playing area, a common room, and a study area. There were laundry facilities and Wi-Fi throughout the halls. There was a hall office with staff who could help with any issues.
The university definitely works hard and gives us the best facilities possible with some top of the range technology equipment. As of right now I am slightly disappointed towards the campus feel and environment but I expect that to change completely next year with the new campus.
The computer science course is definitely a wonderful experience for me, I have learnt so much in such short time and I look forward to studying more. The lecturers are so helpful and they are all just an email away if you have any concerns or worries which I love. I love the interactivity for certain modules especially COMP4005 as they help teach us but also we get to try out and test our program and algorithms.
Brookes is in the centre of Oxford with amazing travel to get to any nearby points. You are just a reach out from the city centre and also able to travel to campus on bus for free due to our student perks.
The best part of Oxford Brookes University is that you get to study diverse courses. I study Applied Human Nutrition and I’m glad I chose this course for my masters degree, I’m blessed with the best faculty and I’m grateful for their support and encouragement. You get to experience a lot of other things apart from just academics. You get to meet guest lecturers from different fields, you get the opportunity to get connected to a lot of people from the nutrition industry, the best part is the careers event which happened on 8th February this year. You get lot of insight from the lecturers and also the centre for academic development is a great place to get help from. The campus is great. Coming to the worst aspects, I don’t think there’s any particular aspect but like any new student you just get overwhelmed initially when all of a sudden you shift to another place but you will always find help from someone or the other over here.
My course is MSc Applied Human Nutrition, one year duration and it is a in class learning course. I have six modules , the first semester covers Research methods, Food science and Fundamentals of Human Nutrition modules and the second semester covers Global nutrition and Public health , Nutrition, Activity and Health , Health Promotion & Professional Practice modules. Each lecture duration is three hours and the time table is flexible. You get to learn a lot from the course content. For this you will have exams, assignments and presentations. It is important to know that the content is very much heavy since every needs to be completed or taught within a year. I would say this is a challenging course yet interesting and it is definitely worth it. Coming to dissertation, we will be allocated to project supervisors who will guide us throughout the project. You get to experience many things during this learning process and it is quite useful for your career.
I’m quite happy with my accommodation, I’m glad that I chose crescent, it is not far from university and also it is near to grocery store. It is situated in Crescent road Temple Cowley. You get to stay with six other flatmates. You have shared kitchen and bathrooms. It’s all about adjustments and get along with other people. It’s a nice experience and you get to live with people from different places. There is nothing bad I could say about crescent hall, I’m happy to choose it again if at all I need to continue to be here.

Nice buildings with good facilities, decent lecturers, good range of student support. However it could be improved by addition of student accommodation who bring family with them, also transportation facilities such as free bus tickets, and free sports facilities.
Some courses give new perspectives of things. However the requirements for placement program are too hard, so most students failed to get a placement.
Oxford is beautiful but expensive

Wheatley is not a good campus but we moving next year so it's OK.
Contact time is 12 hours a week which is a little lower than maybe it needs to be. Support is there if you need it though.
For Oxford it is value for money but is a little knackered although works are in place for the entire village to be a modern spec soon.
1. Facilities in good condition 2. Effective student support by student union and ISAT 3. well planned program structure and high quality of contents 4. Lecturers' skills of delivery 5. Affordable tuition fee
1. I think time arrangements for lectures and seminars should be revised. For example, sometimes, lecturers are not able to cover all topics of the lecture or seminar because of insufficient time. But, some seminars which plenty of time allocated to are ended earlier than initial planned time.
Oxford is city of International students which means there is plenty of availability to have international connection and networking
1. It is located in walking distance from university campus which reduces my commute time. 2. All required utilities are provided by hall management. 3. Rooms are clean and it has enough space for one person
Library can be very busy during the day so is impossible to find somewhere to study, however it’s open 24hrs so it’s a lot nicer in the evening. Have lots of computers available making it great if you don’t have a laptop with all the computers being able to access any software required. Wheatly and harcourt campuses are quite out of the way and take time to reach even with specific buses, however this will change soon as Wheatley is getting binned. The £8 a year buses are really nice and allow you to get to most places quite easily.
Like the course content seems similar to what other university’s offer, all the lessons are in person unless someone is ill or some other circumstance. Office hours are available for most lecturers if u have a question and usually get a quick response over email, though some lecturers are only Partien and therefore sometimes hard to reach. Coursework is usually pretty interesting but definitely requires some further research into the topic to accomplish to a good standard.
Felt really safe the whole time I was there, constant security patrolling made it feel great. Easy to get to the university and either walk or get a bus into city centre. Lots of other students around so felt connected to the rest of the university.
I like Headingtin campus, it's new and big on the whole and I've had some lovely lecturers. The course is super interesting and up to date.
The incredibly vast majority of my lecturers have been great! Really good and inspiring and committed. There have been a few who aren't so organised and are less engaging, but they're massively outnumbered in my experience. The modules available for criminology and sociology join honours students are super interesting and up to date with current times which is so important I think! Lecturers are also pretty helpful when it comes to planning essays when you go to see them in their office hours. Both the sociology and criminology departments are really nice.

The best thing is that everyone is always very keen to help you and you never feel left alone. The worst thing is probably the distance from town.
