The Philosophy department is lovely. There's so many options for societies and extra-curricular. The buildings are nice though the library is too small to accomodate students. Affordable housing is a huge issue.

Having a small student community allows you to know most of your classmates and helps when it comes to collaborating on work. As it is quite a small town and far from a train station it aimes times feels a bit isolated.

The student teacher ratio is amazing - always someone who you can get into contact with quickly! Love the hands on approach - I have lots of Labs abs workshops in my course which I thoroughly enjoy. The accommodation (uni and around the campus) is extremely expensive, and the events put on by the union are very expensive for the quality.

Student safety and community feel is very strong. Lots of history surrounding the university and the town is beautiful. To improve I would have better transport for student to move between town and the nearest cities (like Edinburgh), better nightlife for the students and more accomodation.

There aren’t many pubs/clubs so the student life can lack sometimes but the town itself is nice and comfortable. It is out of the way of other towns/cities, however.

The location is a dream, with the ocean so close and beautiful beaches! The relatively small town makes making friends and connections really easy. The professors and tutors are all lovely and very passionate about what they do!
