Vast range of resources and support is available at the university. More events that can help people network can be helpful
Good modules. Need better teaching staff
It is very welcoming and as an international student I find it the most important aspect
covid19 affected our studying habits and all my uni experiences have mostly been online.
I’m at the Clifton campus so it is close to the town centre but getting to the campus can be difficult. The campus is lively and there are plenty of spaces around the campus to study. The student bar at the Clifton site has lovely staff who are willing to help and support when needed.
I have mainly had online lessons so using the facilities has been limited.
The best experience for me is actually being there! I am nearly 36 and was told I was to stupid for university and here I am in my second yr . The tutors have all been amazing and they have made me feel at ease with university life and work. I think the “worst “ thing for me is not being able to access the full university life such as getting involved in a society and doing extra lessons like life drawing on an evening. I have fibromyalgia and ME/CFS so these make it harder for me to be physically involved I am also a mum of 3 . But I am enjoying being apart of university and all though I am excited about graduating I will be very sad to leave.
I am really enjoying the course, I have learnt new skills in many areas such as puppet making, photoshop mark making and more however as there is so much to learn and cover I can find it all a little overwhelming and would like to have more lectures and lessons on the digital side like photoshop and sketch up.
I am from Nottingham so I am naturally a big fan of Nottingham. I love that the university is so close to the town center and all the shopping facilities. The only thing that’s isn’t great is that our building doesn’t have a cafe / shop where all the others do.
Everything in this university feels extremely welcoming and warm.
It's amazing
Public Transport is a little bit expensive even for students
NTU supports you with anything you need, most things for free or at least affordable. All teachers here make sure you know what you doing and they will go through everything again if needed. It feels safe to walk around the campus.
It’s a very good course, fulfilled with amazing teachers and student support.
I love help that university provide to students. Tutors, lectures and stuff are always so nice and glad to help. I feel the only thing that can be improved is to do more lectures with all opportunities that university provide. There are so many things and sometimes it is hard to keep up with everything and easy to not notice some of the new opportunities.
Sometimes it is hard to contact tutor face to face as their work hours are very limited in time and there are so many students who need help.
The university lacks support for students. I am a degree apprentice not accustomed to the way the online procedure works. I handed the wrong electronic document in with time stamped proof of when the real document was last saved before the deadline. The university completely dismissed me. I understand if there was nothing they could do but there was no support from anyone, no one to ask ‘how are you, I’m sorry this has happened.’ So I don’t believe the preaches for mental health week that the university posts on social media when the don’t help there students.
Very intense course on a day release subject. Too much content to juggle between a working life and trying to get good grades.
Great campus, excellent support from staff
Excellent course content Cheers bract with lectures could be better in regards to response to emails
The lectures are great. The staff know what they’re talking about. The city campus is great and really central. My only problem is with some inconsistencies in assessment marking. As an international student too the fees are a bit high but cheaper than a lot of other universities.
Best part of the course is definitely how good the course content is. Worst part would be that the assessment specifications aren’t always very good and definitely the marking is inconsistent.
Lots of places to have fun, night life is great. Very student oriented.
When I stayed there the building was fine however there was mold in the showers. The shared kitchen in my flat was often a mess but that’s because of my flat mates not the staff.
