The MA Communication Design course is studio based with access to program tutors and various facilities. Since the teaching process is a mixture of seminars, workshops as well as working on live briefs, it gives a clear understanding of the subject area with industry standards. The course also gives us opportunity to access various design labs and printmaking studios, helping us better our skills. It would be great if there would be networking events hosted as part of the course that can help students in their career prospects.

The university hall is a great way to interact with fellow university students from multiple courses. The facilities are also a fairly good value for money.

Lecturs are delivered well, I prefer to work from home due to how busy lecture halls are and they tend to run a little slow, can be easier to focus and get through content at home. Uni provides the resources to work well from home, mostly.

Primary education is a very heavy course but all the lectures are so detailed and give you a lot of support. The best thing is that they find your placements and check up on you along the way to ensure your wellbeing. The worst thing is that I struggle to keep up with all the content as during placement I have multiple assignments, coursework, I play rugby society, managing money and social life.

I love the location and the halls are perfect. The rooms are a perfect size as well as the kitchen. Great place for socialising and I feel completely safe. Least favourite thing is circuit dryer.

The best thing about my course is how the course isn’t just theoretical but also practical. One improvement that could be done in regards to the course is adding more content to the modules.

I’ve lived in two of the student halls at my uni and I’ve loved both of my student halls but especially Trinity square. The one improvement I would like to see at this location would be that they work on broken things fast, what I mean by that is the lift in our block has been broken for over 5months now and it has not been fixed. This is very challenging because I have to go 7-8 flights of stairs every time I wanna go out.

Very text heavy, but the lecturers are incredibly helpful and there is not too many hours of the course and the lecturers are always there to help out

It was shocking, catered food was okay but wasn't value for money and Sodexo who run the building were shocking

I feel like the course kinda starts a little bit to easy for university understandably people need to settle back into education but some tasks felt a bit Highschooly. Other than that I have enjoyed doing projects with my fellow piers and learning about architecture with amazing tutors and facilities.

With COVID everything moved online, however they managed to closely integrate F2F well into 3rd and final year. With only 2 modules per semester and 1 year-long module of our choice, this gave us quality contact hours as well as self-study hours, especially as the modules were heavier and harder. Lecturers are easy to contact and are helpful in return. This course gives you the opportunity to choose your final year module if doing either: dissertation, management report or an undergraduate consultancy project, which I am grateful for as it plays well to our strengths, fields and provides us with opportunities

Walkable and public transport friendly. You get the best of both worlds: City and Country with seaside too Great places to live that are affordable

The facilities and halls were great in general! However the location is in Gateshead which is about a 20-30 minute walk from the city campus. Though the halls are above TESCO EXTRA which is easily accessible. Other than that the rooms are great sizes, kitchen storage and fridge space aren't too bad either compared to other halls.
