Norland is an amazing College if you would like to nanny for children. The job opportunities are incredible, you have approximately 15 families to choose from for your Newly Qualified Nanny year. The lecturers are extremely knowledgeable and the practical sessions are really interesting and creative. Could not recommend more!
Norland college has given me the best training, throughout the pandemic we have shown as a team perseverance, faith and the Norland Moto of ‘ Love Never Faileth’. Norland has given me a set of new skills and provided me with learning and guidance.
Very professional services, great teams and guidance to ensure great opportunities at the end of our degree. Norland has a Job Shop, which allows us to receive jobs.
Norland college is a very prestigious college. The learning is taught at a very high standard and gives us the best learning. We are taught 80% in person and 20% online. The course and training is very structured.
Norland facilities are very great. It is a clean, tidy and neat college. We are given excellent training and skills by highly trained lecturers to enable us to learn and give the best to children. Norland has great modern technology and services.
The student support is amazing. Allowing students to have counselling sessions and a hear to hear team working sets. Lectures respond at a quick time, and are allows thinking of us students.
Norland is incredible. I was stuck at what to do when I left sixth form and, when I heard of Norland, I knew it was the place to go. I rarely feel overwhelmed and always feel able to ask for help. The support from every aspect of the team is amazing and I have made some lovely friends. I learn so much everyday. Not just academic things, but so many practical skills to which I will be able on carry later into life. I am excited to learn daily and I cannot wait to go into my future career with such sufficient training.
Norland is a once in a lifetime experience and for every 1 graduate, there are around 6 jobs which is incredible. As I am only in first year, I haven't had a chance to be employed yet but I am hoping to make the most of the Job Shop and further my nannying experience. Guest speakers occur at least once a half term and are very informative; widening my subject knowledge further.
Norland, even in the midst of a pandemic, has been incredible. We are in for 3 out of our 4 days of learning in the week; allowing us to fully participate with the learning, enhance our academic knowledge and refine our practical skills. They have ensured we have not missed out on any subject content or teaching.
Norland's facilities, for a small university, are excellent. The college is equipped with modern equipment for both practical and academic lectures. The spacing is well thought out and the cleanliness is always at the highest standard. The library and Hear 2 Hear services are particularly amazing, with lecturers being on hand at any one time to assist with queries.
There is an array of extra support from Norland with teachers being on hand to support at any one time. There are multiple mental and physical health groups as well as a constant awareness for disabilities and others around us. Throughout the pandemic, there have been wellbeing activities weekly which have given us students a chance to relax and focus on our mental health. The college has been of great help and I always feel very supported.
Although i have found university to be fun and stressful at the same time, i have loved being at norland and learning how to be the best practitioner i can be.
The support and norland is amazing. The staff at norland are always there to offer help and support with assignments but are also there should you need someone to talk to. I have felt completely supported throughout my 3 years at norland
The overall experience has been incredible, and I couldn't imagine that anything else would compare to it. I could not flaw it at all. It is really like a big family, you get to know everyone in your year and there are plenty of extracurricular events to keep you busy and social events at the uni are a lot of fun!
The university offers 100% employability from the moment we leave. We also spend at least one third of our time at uni in placements meaning that we are fully prepared for employment upon graduation.
I like most the fact that you know all the lecturers and they all know you as well as the fact that there are small class sizes so that there is always someone to help you out should you need it. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the uni isn't open through the weekend which means that you're not able to come and access things all through the weekend, but it is understandable due to the small amount of staff members.
Amazing! They have facilities for everything that you need from sewing and kitchens for practical lectures and the academic team are prepared for anything that you could need.
The university is in a very good location, it is close to the centre of Bath and has very good transport links as well as generally being close to plenty of accommodation.
The support is incredible, tutors are able to support to the best of their ability throughout the three years and feedback on assignments is always clear and constructive to help with the next assignment. The personal support is just as good, you can go to any lecturer for support or advice as well as going to the counsellor who is always available for sessions, of which we get 6 free sessions per student.
Good timetable, excited about the future, made best friends for life, been given some life skills, more information on the degree side of the course could have been given/better explained before starting & expenses explained more
Small lecture sizes
It has been really good, the support is great and practical aspect is extremely beneficial to my future career. I have learnt a lot and feel prepared for employment.

It’s been good, haven’t experienced the university life you would get at other unis such as an SU. There is a good community at Norland. The practical work we do is amazing
They have their own agency, we have placements throughout the year. And are guaranteed a job at the end.
I like small classes and a structured plan for the lectures. Lecturers are very engaging. We have a lot of independent study which I don’t like so much
Very good, the lecture rooms are very interactive and small so classes aren’t too big. Library is very enticing.
Yes very good.
Norland is amazing! As a uni, they really do go above and beyond to ensure that everyone has a positive uni experience. The staff are so dedicated and always there to help.
Everything we learn at Norland ultimately contributes to our employability and it is clear how the skills we are taught will prepare us for future employment.
I love the way we are taught about theories and then also how to put them into practice. It’s so practical and really prepares us for real jobs once we graduate.

I always feel well supported by lectures in regards to my work. Being at norland is like having a second family, everyone know everyone and the lecturers are extremely approachable
We have many practical lessons to build on our practical skills as well as in-depth employment sessions that enable us to prepare for our future.
I like how small the lecture groups are. It enables us to ask questions if we are confused about any particular subject and also means the lectures know students by name
Facilities are extremely good. We have a fully equipped kitchen for out practical cooking sessions, a fully equipped nursery to help us with or practical skills when working with children with lots of space to both do our work and socialise
Excellent location. Close to the centre of town, it has a variety of local shops as well as lots of housing
