The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s awards were not collected on uni campuses as usual, but instead based on submissions from institutions, which were then judged by our special student panel.

Met my girlfriend made friends never missed a lecture! Had fun and budgeted correctly so uni was never a struggle and I don't regret anything I would highly recommend uni to anyone
Human geography is basically sociology
Always worked always clean
Central Manchester a 10 minute walk from most halls to the uni campus
Didn't do any but there were loads
Really enjoying the content, lecturers engaging and knowledgeable. Lots of support available for disabled students, and in general for academic skills. Worst thing is having to travel during peak times and long days.
Careers skills fairs, support for future studies and work, and personal development module
Long days (9-5) however this does mean we are only in uni 2 days. Guest lecturers to ensure we have the best possible people teaching us.
Good - free menstrual products, all gender bathrooms and accessible
Good - cafes and kitchens, even a bar in the union
Yes, in the centre by shops, pubs and takeaways.
Very good - everything from swimming to pole dancing
Office hours every week mean we can speak to tutors when we need to. Free counselling service available without a doctors note.
i’ve met a lot of very nice people and the lectures are engaging but sometimes boring. the staff are all very friendly and the campus is clean and there is wifi which is good. overall I like it but the teachers could be a bit more enthusiastic.
career fairs, workshops and seminars
many facilities and approachable staff
could be better
Its been hectic and not really as exciting as expected. I expected more fun activities not just that but more practicality in our subject as its a more beneficial and faster way to learn
Not sure yet
Yes very good location but sometimes over crowded
10-4 twice a week
have a module working or professional talk
Small groups with lots of specialisation
Don't know much but good night out
Bit scruffy, but overall good
setting up our lab
easy to get whatever needed
lots of chance
5/10, enjoy the course but the lecturers don't make enough effort with students and there isn't sufficient support.
Ok efforts to increase employability but should be better
Not enough contact time in smaller groups, lecturers don't care
Nice union with good facilities
Really safe, clean but expensive
Good, clear, need more seating
Good location with good surroundings
Fairly good, should make them more accesible
Don't provide enough support
lots of support from lecturers, workload is good, plenty to do for social life.
equipment for the course could be improved
something for everyone
Available counselling every week.
Overwhelming and nothing I expected it to be like.
It's very interesting, relates to everyday life, relevant
