The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. Due to Covid restrictions, this year’s awards were not collected on uni campuses as usual, but instead based on submissions from institutions, which were then judged by our special student panel.

Covid-19 has made university life really tough and struggle but the university have done well to make the experience as accessible and a positive one despite all the circumstances.
An excellent pastoral team. They genuinely care about each individual student and offered me support when I needed it.
I'm studying BA theology at LST (London School of Theology) I'm 22 and classed as a mature student! This has honestly been the best experience of my life so far! If you want a place to study about God and grow in your relationship with Him then this is the place! LST is known for its great community, I would describe it as my LST family. Having this close community it really helped me to enjoy my uni experience, not only to grow in relationship with God but also make long life friends. My first thoughts of coming to LST was that everyone will know more than me and I would find it hard to fit in as I have recently become a Christian. But, this wasn't the case, the support I was given was incredible and there were more people like me who haven't come straight from church, this was really refreshing as I thought I would find it daunting. And don't get me wrong my first year has personally been the hardest year for me for other reasons. But LST to me, during such a hard time, was just still so enjoyable! I would recommend this Uni to anyone. The faculty are great and you can go talk to them anytime if you have any worries or questions, they will try their best to help you.
LST has a great team to help you explore your next path at the end of your experience at LST and often you will find from what your start to learn that it is something you want to explore more of.

The term times are a little strange and completely different to any other uni. They could do with changing, but you get an extra long Christmas and Easter break.
London school of theology (LST) have great faculties for you to use. the student centre is open 24hrs, which has a gym, games room, pool table, tv, kitchen and changing room. The perfect place for a movie night too! You have an option, if you stay onsite, to have a shared room or single with en-suite or shared bathroom too. These have all be refurbished and are comfy to live in. I would say the facilities are good!
The university is in a great place!! As student it's amazing living in outer London, as Northwood is a quite town with local shops to walk too but also great if you wanted to go into the centre of London too. I would recommend living onsite for your first year, as this will help you to get to know the community the better (or if you want keep yourself to yourself).
The support is just phenomenal! The tutor have an open doors polcy where if you stuck or need help or anything you can go and find them to chat if they are free. The tutors are very accessible. LST have a pastoral care team which you can go and visit for any reason! They are great and offer great support. At LST you are not left in the dust to cope on your own, your are encouraged to find help and support will always be given!
From the first visit right through to typing this out as I saw the wholly inaccurate reviews of others. I and I know of my fellow students would say this is just a privilege to be at. I am both honoured and humbled being at such a God breathed and centred institution. I looked at many in my research before LST and it was Holy Spirit who led and placed me here and I am just so grateful for that.
I have just applied for ministry training and been accepted and it is the course programme of LST that has and continued to provide a framework for study and life while also giving a life transforming response as God has used the whole experience to empty and reshape me for His purposes and plans. I have changed from this experience and only for the better and will continue to as I enjoy and thrive in this journey. I understand it costs to provide such standards of teaching and for me it’s worth everything spent on it. You get what you pay for, and this is priceless.
The teaching is tough, challenging, academic, and also Holy Spirit inspired and is life changing. I stand by this that if you want an easy course that does not prepare you well for ministry life look elsewhere. If you want something that will challenge, inspire, transform, and reveal what God has for you look no further. There is a reason LST is a World class training centre, it’s God saturated and anointed.
There are no words that adaquately describes this seminary. It’s touched by God as the facilities echo those many students who have studied in what is a rich tradition that you literally sense every time you enter in. The staff are just incredible all passionate and always concerned about us students in how to support and encourage us be it on site or distance learning. All aimed at developing and sharing the revelation of Jesus with world class teachers who have humble hearts and mission led convictions to raise the new generation for leading the Church forward. The facilities are a kingdom embassy on Earth very well maintained with innovative developments and attentive approaches.
It’s a great place for both escaping to hear God and get great local produce in and around Greenwood, on-site the meals are amazing. Ruislip forest is also great for walks and breaks. I drive from Staffordshire and is just 10 minutes off the M40 before London traffic becomes a factor
I cannot speak highly enough every tutor, support member, programme leader inspire different qualities. But there are a core number of people always there no matter what will always help Clare Miller, Claire Hobbis, Graham Twelftree, Karina Straugton, Emily Smuts, the list goes on and on they are all just amazing people, sharing and living what it is to be a true disciple of Jesus.
It's been fantastic - a great community and academically rigourous. We have a fantastic corperate prayer and worship life which you engage with and forms you just as much as the lectures do.
We have a vocational services department who work well with us all the way through our time to prepare us for life beyond LST
The content is engaging and the faculty are brilliant - all knowledgeable specialists in their field
The library is fantastic - a beautiful and well resourced place to study. The building is well equipped and the students have a designated building for socialising whivh includes pool and table tennis, games consoles and a gym.
Students can live onsite throughout their time, and the tube station is 7 minutes walk away. There are two pubs and a supermarket nearby, plus other food places
We all have a tutor group and good access to the pastoral team. Feedback is given on all assignments and lecturers are available to meet 1:1 to discuss further if you wish.
