I have really enjoyed my experience so far and would recommend this university to anyone. There is a lot of support available and the unique size of the university gives students the opportunity to really engage with their lecturers and make the most of their studies. Living on campus in first year could be a bit intense as it’s nice to separate university from personal life etc. I have made so many friends and got 2 jobs working for the university. I will miss university once I have left.
Good.
Because of the size of the university it is easy to get support as most lecturers have good relationships with their students. Some lecturers aren’t very responsive to emails which can be very disheartening when you are struggling.
Really good, they have lots of job opportunities and hold a good week in freshers. The SU president and Vice President have really good relationships with students.
Accommodation is on campus which is very beneficial for early morning lectures, however as stated in the previous comment it is too far from the city centre.
Very good, I did join a society but felt it wasn’t for me. Through working for the students union which helps to fund societies I can see that they are all massively appreciated by other students. There is a lot of choice when looking at a society to join.
I like the lectures that have set readings which we reflect on and discuss weekly, which are then followed by a seminar. With the classroom sizes being very small in comparison to other universities I enjoy the way lecturers are able to engage with students in the classroom.

Leeds Trinity has a brilliant careers department. All of the courses require a 5 week placement in first year and a 6 week placement in second year. The my future team put on lots of CV workshops and are very helpful with applications for both placement and part time jobs or graduate opportunities. There are lots of placement opportunities abroad with links to the university which are encouraged.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at university. I have met some of the most inspiring tutors as well as expanded my knowledge of profession exponentially. Which is why I have decided to take on a masters degree since I’m not quite ready to give up the student life just yet!
Everything is very clean and well kept, maintenance is constantly being done, showing they are at least on top of the evident problems around campus
The university has impeccable support. Any worry someone might have can and will be supported both academically and personally.
The student union represents itself very well, as they try to accommodate to any student needs, whether it be stationary equipment or mental health problems, there’s something for everyone.
It’s right at my doorstep being on campus. If I need any resources or need to see any module leaders, it’s a 30 second walk, very convenient
There is a nice variety of sports, however some sports seemed to be prioritised more than others. For example, I am a meme bee of the universities badminton team and we don’t get any recognition for sports awards nominations or anything, whereas rugby and football make a huge turnout.
While the content of the courses are full of very useful information, the lectures focus very little on the specific assessments we need to complete and the guidance to get the higher grades. I understand the lecturers can only help students so much, however it would be useful to get some practical examples

It makes a compulsory module in all courses for work placement, requiring at least 1 month of work experience that requires you to make the most of the experience and write about our time there. They also have a large team to help post graduate students find jobs around the area and beyond. Very very impressive and super supportive
My overall experience has been extremely positives. Everyone is really lovely and it has helped me become more confident. Everyone is helpful in terms of getting placements and jobs and there are amazing opportunities that the uni offers
Very good
The support that is offered is good
Good facilities. A few more items in the student shop e.g. cleaning supplies
A less than 2 minute walk
Needs to be more
mostly independent work with is good. Least is that sometimes it’s too independent

Placements every year and workshops
Not too bad, but only for me being much of an introvert myself, others probably had it better. The teaching is great with great support also regularly available. The location of the university may get some time to get used to, but it is what it comes with a campus-based university.
Everything is close by, almost like a small "village"
A lot of variety for different sports and societies

So far University has been an excellent journey with a few ups and downs due to stress of the work load but has all turned out well and support is always available. Both the academic side and the social side are excellent and I’m glad I chose the university I did
The campus has nearly everything you could need such as cafes and food stalls to use. They also have a Starbucks, cash machine and student union shop selling basic necessities. The only improvement could be a mini supermarket with things such as milk and salad to avoid having to go all the way to the nearest supermarket.
I am not aware of any personal support or counselling, however this is not something I have had to look into. In regard to academic support my personal tutor is always available and we have regular catch up meetings. We also have a learning hub for assignment support alongside being able to speak to course lecturers.
There is a fantastic student union and we are all made aware of who this includes and where we can find them. They also have a students union shop however this can sometimes cost quite a bit more than in the shop so for improvement this cost could be lower and stock more necessities
Yes, the university is close to horsforth centre and a number of lovely pubs. It also has a shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes to local amenities such as the supermarket and train station. It is also only a short train journey to Leeds centre.
There are a number of different societies and sports. The majority are sports clubs however there are some other societies. There could be plenty more societies to meet all interests
We alternate between a lecture week and a workshop week. This works well however room organisation is sometimes poor but the lecturers adapt well. Some lectures are dragged out more than they need to be and have unnecessary breaks but on the whole they are good.

We are often in placement through every year of study that the university arranges for us. This is carried out alongside our academic study and building skills for future careers.
The course is brilliant, the facilities are fantastic and the experience I have had so far has been very positive. I love the practical elements of the course and how much we are encouraged to grow and develop as journalists.
For journalism - outstanding. In terms of food on campus etc, very average.
Academic support is great
The campaigns always promote mixed messages - one week they're giving out free water bottles to reduce single-use plastic and the following week they are handing out hundreds of single-use plastic bottles of water.
It's easily accessible to Leeds city centre - but generally, there isn't much around campus
There aren't many societities or sports teams to join at all. The only society/team I hear about is men's football.
The cohort for my course is small so our lecturers get to know us well - we are taught by current/ex-industry professionals.

The compulsory work experience element is great
Good so far but could have been better by focusing more on forensic psychology rather than other modules such as research methods which I see to be irrelevant.
Great variation.
It is good however I don’t think some of the teachers know how to correctly mark an assignment in correlation with the mark schemes.
Never used.
Yes it is not far from where I live and is fairly close to the city centre.
Lots of choice.
Interesting course, however only taught forensic psychology in semesters 1 which isn’t good.

They hold employability sessions on a regular basis to enhance students knowledge and employability skills.
I have probably had one of the worst experiences at uni that anybody has ever had, I lived on campus for two years which is far away from everything and I didn't have any friends as I was put in a flat with third years both times
good
good
Very good
No
Very good
I like that the power points get put online I don't like the way that the lecturers leave us to do the work when we don't know what we're doing

They don't really
Its been fairly good so far with minor issues here and there that have mainly been resolved. Going to university was my best decision and I've had so many great opportunities because of it.
Good links to city centre and close to supermarket
I like the variety of modules offered and how supportive the staff are.

I have enjoyed my course so far and I have found that I am doing better in my work and I am understanding everything on the course. I have also enjoyed the social side of University
There is a good canteen and food services on campus, the library is open 24 hours and offers good services. The student bar is also good but closes at 11 so could possibly open later
There is some good support offered by the students union and the staff body
The students union is very engaged with the university student body and seem to offer a lot of options in terms of advice and skills teaching
The University is very close to city centre which is very convenient and the area it is located in is very quiet and pleasant
There is quite a few choices for societies and a wide variety of sports but perhaps not as many societies as I was expecting
I like the way the course is set out with our seminars as they can be very interesting and the course material can be very engaging. I have done well to complete my essays I have had assigned. Some lecturers have not been as engaging with classes but the majority of students still do well in essays

The student's union offers advice on careers and placements and also helps with development of employable skills. There are placements and semesters available abroad for students who want to go into careers where this is useful
