Im really proud myself because im studying a really good university .im nearly more than 10 years away from study when i heard about leeds city college they really good for fundition degrees i thought it is a best chance to finish my uncomplicated studies and i am really enjoying now.
They are really helpful
All students studying hard and try to help each other
Its great - best decision I ever made. Personal service - focus on us as learners. All the staff know your name and help you. A great place to study. I thoroughly recommend it.
We have regular Careers Workshops, we have a work placement programme and a women in leadership programme. Employablity and transferables skills are built into the programmes
Great teachers with lots of experience
The college facilities are good - we have everything we need. Library , study zone, social zone etc.
Very good - knowledgeable teachers and support from staff with a variety of skills - mental health counsellors, welfare officers etc.
I have loved this university and have recommended it to 3 students who have all applied and 1 is currently a first-year student thriving. I only wish there was more mental health support from qualified professionals.
Continuously looking for work experience opportunities, the campus for my course is based at a film studio and so you couldn't be closer to the industry and opportunities. They look at how to showcase your skills and build confidence.
I like that you can always ask the lecturers for help. I dislike that sometimes it can become repetitive.
Good facilities for a smaller university.
Very good tutor support needs improvement in personal support i.e counselling and referrals.
Its bad. Wouldn't recommend. If you're thinking of coming think again because it makes you depressed and its the worst thing that you will ever do. They don't teach you properly, they just brush over everything
Very good in terms of higher education speed and environment. Also , i've learnt a lots of things on the first semester in terms of leadership and Management. I have been able to handle things quite differently even my own partner noticed it and sometimes makes jokes about it.
They're doing great in that department i will say , giving work experiences by allowing us to do some apprenticeships etc...
Tutors to spend more time on explaining us instead of getting tires of us and running the show. I'm literally sick and tired of seeing them trying to act like super starts of footballers and wags etc... if you ask them a question a question is like they don't like it.
I will say 50 -50 because the classes are very cold and also very tight apart from the 5th floor room.
Very poor to me , like i said previously they don't really like to help and get bored when they see us asking and also got their favourites students. Always in the rush and going back to square zero and that annoys me so much some times.
Supportive Fun Interesting Different Friendly Easy Full contact with tutors so you are fully supported and helped with your studies. Bottles of water not available Library is very lacking
Careers sessions with careers advisors
Supportive Not enough course diversity
Not the best for our section, needs improvement.
To understand and to get experience for my futures plans to be a good manager on my own businesses. Because leadership and management is my dream, this course is coming to change my life
The college has many work placements i have one i can start in the middle of February this year
More explication from the tutors
The tutors helps me to understand my modules and my feedback is helpful
Tutors and feedback
It has been great studying at Leeds City College. The support has been great from the staff. I have found the last 3.5 years challenging but it has been every bit worth it!
Most- that they are small classes with plenty of interaction Least- sometimes are too reliant on presentations
I think I've gone into it loads! I loved college and I love uni. It gives me a purpose in life. It gives me something to look forward to and put all my effort into.
I haven't used the career department as I have a job outside of uni but we have had job fares and they also work with Game Makers Yorkshire (GaMaYo) to make our faces known to people in the industry to help us after uni.
I love my course as its a big part of my life. There is nothing I don't like as I love going to uni. I like that the tutors always have time for us no matter what. It really helps raise morale in me when times are tough and I'm struggling with understanding. They always explain in a way I can understand.
Excellent. We have every piece of software we need and also lots of books to refer to in our essays. The tutors are amazing too and help us out with learning these industry standard software.
It's great. As I said before the way the tutors help us is gold standard. I have used the counselling service and again it's been second to none.
Been very good so far. The tutors are the main people that have made my overall experience. LCC just need to improve the facilities as we're starting to feel forgotten about, compared to students at Printworks.
They are very good with regular talks with the National Careers Service, which helps with employment after graduation.
The courses are taught very well with the tutors doing an exceptional job.
They are good equipment-wise (PC). However, facilities are lacking especially when comparing it to the Park Lane Campus across the road and Printworks campus.
Support is very good when in college but are some times slow at replying on email.
