Best aspects have been networking and the workshops that are designed around the courses. Worst aspects have been the “tired” instruments that are in stock at uni, the broken amplifiers, and lack of attendance (and likely punitive measures in response) of students in classes where we are groups and rely on one another to pass modules successfully.

I think what makes this place a great study is the opportunities it provides to it students for access to a the industry. The opportunities are fantastic and allow entry-level students a chance to apply or access places that would otherwise be impossible to get near. I think what it can improve is the facilities and software it provides to a students. Specifically as a sound engineer student I think only having access to logic pro is not good enough as industry professional standard requires pro tools knowledge. So the fact that I don’t even have access to that digital door at uni is not helpful to me in my future employment endeavours within my industry as a producer and sound engineer. I definitely think that there should be a canteen for students because the lack of a place for students to eat is not sustainable understandable throughout a long day of study studying. I also think that there should be more than two days a week to attend uni because it is not enough time to properly understand the finer details within modules for example mixing concepts in semester two for my degree is only 12 weeks which is at best only allowing me to become a beginner within the subject.

There’s lots of great opportunities outside of the course you’re studying, chances to learn new things you might not within your chosen course. The organisation of the uni could be improved, more staff to student ratio - I’m missing that close student teacher relationship.
