Studying engineering at Imperial college has been a great experience, the university has invested considerable amounts of money into the laboratories, library and lecture theatres which is clear to see. I find the lectures to be very informative and also the tutors are really passionate about the subject which is great to see. The university has amazing labs which have been really helpful to my research. I am also involved with a number of interesting societies at the University which has been a great way to meet new people and socialise. The main one I am working with is a society where we develop mobile phone applications and we are looking to release one for the Iphone very soon, it has been a great extra curricular project and really really fun to work on. The only downside to the University is the accommodation it is very expensive for what it is and also It is quite far away from where my campus is, so I have to spend a lot of extra money on travel.
I am very happy with my choice of studying at Imperial College. I especially enjoy how the modules are being taught and how the lectures stimulate you to really think about the subject. The facilities are fantastic at Imperial from the computer rooms to the library and there is even a great free gym on campus. I really enjoy being in the heart of London as well as it is such an exciting city to live and study in. If you are looking to get a place at Imperial my suggestion is you work really hard and make sure you know your subject inside out when you attend the interview.
