I get quite homesick and feel like the uni could do more to help everyone make more friends with students living on and off site. However I do enjoy the course and have loved meeting people from different places and I really enjoy nights out.
I haven’t seen much effort been put in but I’m sure if I asked they would be very helpful.
Sometimes the lectures can go on for too long so my attention slips away and some lecturers could try to make it more interesting.
It is hood however I feel as though they could put more together such as nights out for the unis.
In a relatively safe area, very good condition rooms however I do have some problems with the showers. The location is very handy because there are a lot of shops nearby and it’s is very easy to access transport facilities nearby. The cost is understandably more than the cost of regular accommodation in the universities grounds.
Yes a very good location.
There is not a good variety for those who don’t play sports professionally.
Very good the tutors are very happy to help when asked for it.
Amazing great atmosphere and support from everyone especially from student advisors and tutors. The practicals are amazing due tj the great quality of facilities
A huge amount including a drdicated carres building and support on demand
No complaints a good balance between theory and practicals
Yes plenty of food and drink available on campus and accommodation is on site
Loads and huge on sports
Extreanly helpful especially when catching up
I have loved my time at Hartpury and am sad my time is over. I've made amazing memories and friends and it's a totally different experience to the usual city university life. I already have a job in my sector and I'm off to vet school next year. I owe Hartpury that.
Massively. Job fairs, extra curricular courses, loads of stuff.
Most: the way it's varied between examination styles Least: the lack of trips offered for biovet as opposed to other animal
I was part of the su, it runs well but as a small uni the culture is a niche
Top in the world for equine and the animal facilities are fab too
Yes, you need a car or a bus pass as it's rural but it's a short journey to town center
Large variety. Always open to making more also
Amazing amazing amazing they cannot do enough there's a service for everything
Excellent university campus that has everything available. The tutors are very knowledgable and friendly. The equine facilities at the university are very good and well managed and run.
Practice placements are completing throughout the course.
Less contact time compared to undergrad however lecturers are always accessible via email. Practical sessions are an excellent learning opportunity too.
excellent! Amazing university campus with everything that you would need.
very good variation or different sports at all different levels.
It's been okay, felt very distant in 2nd year for placement. Not a lot of support throughout that year. Easy to settle back into more structured University life. Familiar lecturers and a sense of community within the veterinary nursing department. OSCE preparation sessions are really good time to concentrate on skills.
Vet nursing course is very direct in terms of increasing your employability- signing up to help on the home farm, animal management building etc.
I like the practical aspects of the course the most. I think 1st year had a lot of 'filler' type modules that were mainly rooted in common sense and it was hard to be really interested in content. Would have preferred more useful modules going into veterinary placement to be taught before this rather than going out into practice to come back to learn theory of what you've already done.
Spacious house, well furnished and kept. Multiple cleaning tools provided. Good off-street parking.
Lecture halls can be quite small, vet nursing groups are quite large
Okay, regular buses but can be crowded on certain routes and times.
Plenty of different sports available, advertised really well.
Not a great understanding of personal support generally. Tutor feedback is good, fair, continous
Feedback usually very quick.
Lecturers are very helpful, could do with more 'uni students only' areas as they fill up very fast. Good food options available.
Work placements are likely to employ after finishing.
Could have more contact hours in year 4 as only in 2 days a week
Facilities have definitely improved and more areas for uni students
Good condition and location. Cost in average for the area. Parking is not great.
Modern and up to date
Rural setting which i love but very close to Gloucester for shops etc,.
Tutors are very helpful and give good feedback
Lecturers are always on hand to help.
New Vic 8 was in bad condition
Affordable, close to uni
I have made really good friends and am enjoying the whole experience so far.
Industry experience & guest speakers & opportunities.
The lecturers include sources for us to use and give plenty of resources.
They are involved and give plenty of information.
New purpose-built halls with good facilities.
The equine facilities are excellent.
Yes, it's only a 6 min drive to the town centre.
Plenty of activities & sessions to take part in.
Tutorials with tutors 1-on-1 are helpful
