I have mostly enjoyed my uni experience, i have enjoyed both my course and overall environment. Although i feel that there are still improvements to be made to the social and accommodation.
They offer a wide variety of opportunities to gain extra work experience, as well as guidance as to possible career paths after uni
I like the wide variety of module choices within my course, i dont like the layout of timetables
Our facilities are of a very high standard, although their usage is less than it could be
If living on-site you are very isolated, however most of the private accommodation is in the city centre
There are many sport based societies, but they are very competitive
Very good if you look to access it
As a mature student looking for a career change, coming back to Uni and specially to Hartpury is one of the best decisions I ever made in my life!
Careers department is good and the staff is very helpful. Work placements are available however I believe students should be able to access more placements information on Hartpury website. Availability of many short courses and websites to help students with transferable skills.
What I love the most are the tutors and the way we are pushed to critically think about our chosen industry (in my case is Equine). At the moment I cannot think about anything I would like to improve in this matter.
Only heard about them at fresher's week
good variety of sports options on campus. Gym hours should be increased. Students should be able to access cheap services of Personal Trainers at campus gym.
Very good! Staff is always available to help us grow and the feedback is continuous.
Education standard is super. It harbours state of the art facilities from where one can get so many benefits such as for research and learning. As an Equine student here and being an Equine Practitioner (Veterinarian), this University has provided me great amount of knowledge and skills so far, that will definitely help me working more skilfully with Equines in future.
by emailing regularly
I like the most is that teachers deliver the lectures and help students in every matter in a brilliant way.
It has been a good experience. It allowed me to improve and start to live alone, have to control time management, money...etc. It makes me grow as a person while improving my study skills.
It’s been good however they should consider releasing exam schedules earlier. Releasing the schedule in the 9nth week is inconsiderate of international students who plan to go home. Tickets are expensive already so having to wait so long means they will go up more. Even if we were told the day at least and then times later would be better.
They send out emails
I like that they’re put online. I don’t like that some are two hours.
It’s been great
Some bathrooms are small and need updates
I haven't received feedback from tutors
I’m very happy I chose to attend this university. I’ve enjoyed the course content and appreciate the freedom in assignments to choose topics relevant to our own desired career paths.
We have a course dedicated to our Professional Development. Most of the assignments include criteria that aids the development of these skills. There are many workshops and services that are easy to access for additional support and to make the support personalized to your needs.
The courses are very engaging and encourage lots of participation. I wish some of the courses had more lecture time.
I think they do a wonderful job at promoting events and communicating about the different opportunities available to campus. They have a good system in place for not only hearing student feedback, but also making sure action is taken to address any concerns.
I think they are good. They are maintained well and there are different options available for study locations.
Yes, it is easy to get into Gloucester most of the time to get what you need. They also have a lot of things available on campus.
Lots of opportunities! No excuse to not be involved!
Excellent for both academic and personal. Lecturers and tutors are always willing to meet and help students. They answer emails quickly and you can tell they want to help you succeed. Counsellors and Nurses are available as well. In general, everyone on campus is very welcoming and willing to help (even the transportation staff).
I love this uni, the experiences I’ve had so far are incredible. If you like a smaller quieter university experience then this could be for you. There’s good nightlife in town and beautiful scenery on campus. The courses offered here are very specific and can open up opportunities for your future.
I love the modules on my course, the lecturers are inspiring and helpful. Something I would change would be more trips and practical experiences.
The campus is in the countryside so you can expect to feel a little out the way of amenities. It’s only a 15 minute drive into town and there is a small shop onside for essentials.
Being a smaller university, there aren’t that many societies to choose from. It’s good if you like sports. The equine clubs are okay but I feel they could be better.
I love Hartpury university and I’m considering doing another course. Its an amazing place to meet new people and try new things and to learn so much not just about your chosen area but other things too.
Hartpury have this amazing thing called a sandwich year within a few courses, it’s optional to do but it adds an extra year to your course so you can go get work experience before you finish your degree which employers look for in employees. You can also have onsite work experience for example the equine therapy centre helping to rehabilitate horses with injuries.
I like the most that all the information we were taught in class gets put online so I can revise it again. The least thing I like about is some lecturers just reads the board and that doesn’t make the lectures interesting enough I need videos and talks around the subject
I don’t hear too much involvement of the student union, but when I do hear about them they’ve done tremendous work especially giving us our own study lounge just for university student.
Hartpury facilities are olympic. They’re absolutely incredible.
Hartpury is very close to both Newent and Gloucester where you can find student accommodation off site, near shops and other facilities.
Hartpury have so many opportunities for students to try different sports. They nearly have every sport you can think of.
The support is tremendous I myself am dyslexic and I get extra classes to help improve my assignments or help me understand a piece of information.
I love Hartpury. Communication within the organization could be a lot better. But overall, Hartpury is a lovely uni, teachers and staff are very involved and interested in students.
that could be a lot more. We have an ICE centre, but especially for human animal interaction they could have a little bit more contacts
I like our teachers and how involved they are. They could make sure different modules don't overlap as much as they do now
Our SU is very good!
yes it is a goo distance
could be a bit bigger, however, the university is small and people are busy anyways
Very good! a lot of wellbeing and tutor sessions are available
Great environment! Love the sport academy and good socials and that's a small uni. Lots of support for learning and good interactions with the lecturers. Campus is really nice place to go and it's not a sad looking uni
We've got a student career center that helps with that
Love small classes and easy interaction with lecturers. Exam periods and organisations around timetables needs to improve
Good! Parking could be better and accommodations on site as well but overall good!
Fairly good, transport could be better. If you haven't got a car it's not that quick or easy to get in and out from uni
A lot of sports going on. Not many societies, or if there is not much advertised
