Hartpury has fantastic facilities that are often used for hosting events within the equine sector. As an equine rehab student, things like the on-site therapy center is incredible as well as being able to sit and watch even industry professionals compete onsite during some weekends. Being able to put things discussed in the lecture halls into real life terms with the horses on-site or even in the labs, really offers students an incredible opportunity to truly see the big picture with their studies verses just sitting at a desk and hearing things talked about. Even during discussions of things that I was already familiar with, I’ve found myself able to learn something new and better understand the concepts. In terms of the negatives would have to be the safety of the neighbouring city. The campus is lovely and safe but the city of Gloucester, where most students end up living, is not the nicest of cities and has many areas that are rather unsafe. The university provided accommodation does truly help this but because of limited availability there are many students requiring alternative housing situations. There are many lovely areas around the school but for students without their own vehicles, it can be very difficult to impossible to commute if they aren’t living on campus or in Gloucester. This isn’t at the fault of the university of course but I think that if the accommodations team included additional support for those requiring housing that can’t or aren’t able to go through the school. I know as an international student, I really struggled as I didn’t know the area at all and can’t transport myself to campus without the bus.

Super facilitates. Infrastructure. Good caring lecturers I would like to improve flexibility for international students. Also more engagement to new enviroment for international students. Horse facility is nice but super expensive and no chance to keep training if you could bring your horse to UK

Hartpury is an amazing place to study due to the combination of world class facilities and knowledgeable lecturers who all have a passion for their chosen field. The university location is a perfect blend of the relaxing countryside and busy city life. There is a great range of courses to choose from so that you can explore what suits you best & what will support you in your future career. To improve hartpury I would suggest having more dense timetables so that students can have all their lectures on 2 or 3 days a week as a pose to them being spread out over 5 days in order to reduce travel time for those living off campus.

I have loved studying at Hartpury both as an undergrad and a postgrad, the lecturers really care about students as individuals and have great industry experience. I learned so much and massively gained in confidence, and am excited to continue with postgrad study :)

As an equine student, Hartpury's facilities blow every other uni out of the water! There's not much at all that can be done to improve the facilities
