The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. This year’s awards were based on reviews from over 30,000 students across the UK.

university itself leaves a lot to be desired in terms of actual teaching/learning/available resources. Think the problem was the uni was in the transition of becoming independent but it had a long way to go to meet expected and acceptable standards. Staff incredibly cliquey with certain students and did not help college stereotypes.
some excellent some need improving
Very poor. Feedback limited to a few lines per assignment and if you couldn't collect within a certain time work was archived so you never got to see feedback. No pastoral care whatsoever. Staff only took an interest in the well being of favoured students/those that wanted to follow a similar career path, almost like grooming their little 'mini-mes'
Not involved, very small scale, nit something of interest to me
agri campus, but nearest city is not nice, crime hotspot
struggle to form new ones, ended up joining those of a partner uni instead travelling 1.5 hours to training due to lack of support
Most - variety of module choice to study Least - tutors seemed to struggle to grasp it was actually a university and students were paying, teaching materials were poor value for money and staff attitudes very poor

Offer work placements but are greatly lacking in support. If your area of interest does not match that of tutors you receive very little to no help or guidance.
Thank you for your feedback
I love it! The accommodation isn't the best, but the location and teaching is worth it, and your not is halls that long anyway. They encourage me to get active and I get lots of support from the chaplin and on site nursing team, as well as from the tutors and the facilities are excellent
The lecture theatres are either too small, or the class sizes are too big. The practical facilities are really good though.
The well-being team are outstanding. They offer support for everything and anything. The tutors are very good at responding to e-mails and questions quickly, and feedback is generally good quality.
I'm not very involved with the student union as I don't have that much time to be. Considering how small it is, they put on quite a few events in the year. It is pretty good
We are rural, so the city life is basically non-exixtant, which is a good thing. it is reasonably easy to get into Gloucester, but if you want to stay away from the business and noise you can.
Not very varied. As we are a specialist centre, there are few interests catered for. They are all pretty small, because of the limited audience.
the teaching is interesting, but the cohort group is quite large so we don't always fit comfortably into the practical rooms or lecture theatres

We have weekly hartpury advantage sessions designed to increase our employability. The Innovation Careers and Enterprise centre always have their door open, even at short notice to help with CVs and interview techniques, they are always willing to help.
Small and cramped. There are 8 of us sharing a kitchen with only space for 6 chairs round the table. However we do get our own en suite wet rooms which are really handy. The cleaners are really friendly and efficient. The shower, oven and microwave aren't in the best shape, but they are all still functional.
Thank you for your feedback
Satisfactory, but room for improvement. -More inclusive societys -More organisation (administration) needed on the college's part -More Social events that don't necessarily involve heavy drinking
They have a good library, postgraduate room, canteen, cafe and onsite animals
Varies - some teachers are very good and helpful as well as quick to reply to emails. Other teachers are far leas helpful and fail to respond to emails.
Very limited choice of societies. Unfortunately, It seems now the only social activities offered is getting drunk.
N/A
Limited - mostly just sports. Most of which are very selective with members (eg. Horseriding only allowing equine students).
Interactive activities make subject content more interesting - seminars and discussions In some modules we can't use the content we learn in the lectures to get marks for the exam (only further reading counts). Makes the lectures seem somewhat pointless.

Transferable skills: Research, presentation, media skills. Certain module Options include voluntary work .

Amazing and definitely the right decision to join, made a lot of new friends and memories that I will not forget. The teachers are amazing and really friendly!
Quite good, could be better in some areas
Very good
Really good, always have an amazing time in there
Excellent
Lots of variety and lots of clubs in general
Contact times are really good and I enjoy the practical side of lectures. I least like the larger lectures as they are boring and no one concentrates

The tutors start finding you placements as soon as you start and help you to gain hours and skills as well as qualifications
Nice but the kitchen always smells and would be better to have a common room/ living room to increase social activity
Thank you for your feedback
Loving it! The course is exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't feel any more welcome. The teaching is outstanding and there is always something to be doing.
Extremely good, sport facilities are excellent
Extremely good, couldn't be more helpful
They do a very good job to add excitement and satisfaction to the university
Gloucester is uite run down, but there are things tondo if you go out looking for it
All extremely welcoming
It's all relatable to the real world

The careers center allows us to see job opportunities that are available
Thank you for your feedback
So far I’m really enjoying it, even though I travel I still managed to make friends through clubs and really love my course. I have struggled with the knowledge but the lectures have been happy to help
Very good, we have 3 food places, gyms, quiet places and everything we need to study
Tutors are available whenever you need, you can email them when you need them and they will support you
I don’t really know a lot about it as I travel into uni, I would like to get involved though
Hartpury is about 20 minutes from Gloucester, if you can drive that’s fine but the city life is vibrant
Very well organised and supportive of your degree at the same time, everyone gets on with each other and it’s easy to make friends
I like the teaching style the most and how interactive the lecturers are.

They help us gain knowledge that we will need in are career, the also give us the chance at placement in 3rd year as well as a sand which year between 2nd &3rd which not all universities do
Thank you for your feedback
Very good Everyone is friendly and welcoming Looking forward to the rest of my time there Lectures are engaging and interesting You get to know everyone well due to small lecture sizes
Excellent
Very good Easy to contact the necessary people

We have sessions on a weekly basis where we discuss work, work experience etc

University is stressful but Hartpury has tried to make it as easy as possible with support and the attentiveness of lecturers and tutors. The courses are interesting and there are many options for modules in second and third year which will interest a wide range of people. There is many things to do both on and off site and people are friendly and approachable. While some organisation skills are lacking generally within the university such as not getting timetables done on time can be a bit of an issue, this is only a minor complaint. I have generally had a good time over the past three years and have learnt a lot of skills which I think will be useful for further jobs and postgraduate study.
Very good - lots of animal and equine facilities including hydrotherapy centre and horse yard. Lots of different animals on site for practical hand on sessions. Good library filled with many books and staff willing to order in books or help with online resources as well. Good cafe/resturant with lots of options for food and drink. There are many places to work but also could do with more because some of these places can get extremely busy and mean that there is no place to work which is both quiet and not having any spaces to sit down and using computers etc.
Tutors are understanding and will help with most questions when they can and will help the best they can. Feedback on assignments and exams is always good and will have lots of explaination as to why you got that grade and lecturers are always willing to meet up to discuss grades and go through the assignment/exam in more detail with you.
Dont get involved - prefer to do own activities really and dont find it very interesting
A bit far away from the city but fairly good transport links. City has lots of shops which gives options for both food shopping and lesiurely shopping too. Good resturants. Good bars and clubs.
Havent been to any but there are a wide variety of different ones which will cater to most students.
Most = Teachers are mostly friendly and approachable, helping with any questions and problems that may be around the course/exams/assignments. Try to make the material engaging and interesting, including practical sessions, videos. Least = Some can be a lot of content all on a lot of slides, makes the lectures hard to concentrate. Some bad organisational skills.

Having different courses available (SAGE sessions) which allow people to learn about different skills. Advantage sessions where your tutor goes through different types of skills such as CV writing, personal statement, critical analysis.
