The Computing department and its staff have been so so good. The course content has been more than interesting, especially the theoretical modules like Fundamentals of Computer Science and Problem Solving for Computer Science (Algorithms 1 now). The practical courses like Introduction to Programming also make programming more fun, using games to teach and assess coding skills. Having worked as a TA in the department as well, I've seen firsthand how much the department staff care about their students. It is a shame that the Senior Management Team are trying to remove parts of programs that have been so important for other modules, and are cutting a large proportion of the central support staff. Department teaching staff have taken on much of the former teams' administrative work, but despite being overworked they still make so much time to support students as much as they possibly can
As a student at Goldsmiths University, I am amazed by the level of student support provided by the university. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I felt welcomed and supported by the staff and faculty. The student services team is always available to assist me with any questions or concerns I may have, and they go above and beyond to ensure that my experience at Goldsmiths is a positive one. The campus facilities are great, whether I need access to the library, computer labs, or recreational facilities, everything is easily accessible and well-maintained. The campus is clean and well-lit, and I always feel safe and secure while on campus. The lecturers and teaching at Goldsmiths are exceptional, and I am consistently challenged to think critically and push myself to new heights. The teaching staff are passionate about their subjects and are always available to offer guidance and support. They create a welcoming and inclusive environment where I feel comfortable asking questions and participating in discussions. I believe that Goldsmiths University is an excellent institution, but there is always room for improvement. By taking steps to enhance its career services, physical infrastructure, and sense of community, the university could further enhance the student experience and ensure that all students feel supported and valued. Overall, my experience studying BA education at Goldsmiths University has been incredible. The student support, campus facilities, and quality of teaching have all exceeded my expectations, and I am grateful for the opportunity to study at such a fantastic institution.

I love how engaged and involved goldsmiths is. Studying here feels a lot more personal in my experience, you feel connected to the faculty and community.
Best: Maybe the idea that they have lots of resources in terms of academic journal or physical books to loan out Worst: Lack of study space and the campus feeling that lacks modern touch

The university really involves students in events and all opportunities that may come up. It’s also really quite unique as different departments also tend to work together in creating things like final year shows, as well as events. Some of these being the drama/ theatre department working with the psychology department to run an immersive experience for others about solving crimes. The professors are also very approachable and are keen to see you achieve and are always open to lending you a hand.
Best is the surport teachers provide, feedback from work and quality of surport. Worst is the student life being completely seperate, this is probaly due to being in London. This could be improved by hosting events for the course groups, department 'parties'/meals.

The campus is beautiful, it is great to relax on the green in the summer times. Facilties would be great if they allowed everyone to use them - I'm on a joint honours art and computing course however the art department doesn't allow us to use any of the art facilities. They are too overly precious with who is allowed to use them that it feels exclusionary and limits what we can actually do on our degree. We have challenged this many times however we always get the same response that it is merely the way our course was structured, with no thought as to questioning why it is structured that way or if it could be possibly changed.
Lecturers are passionate and helpful. Everyone is kind. The community is open and accepting. HOWEVER. The uni is very disorganised. Emails come at a snails pace often. There is not enough help for newer students.
I would say that there is a a lot of support from the people in the university, whether it be the lecturers, supervisors or the students. However, I wasn’t impressed with how my modules were selected for me after they told me that I would be in the modules that I chose at the start of the year and they also confirmed with me too, but apart from that I can’t really complain that much. Location is not too bad it takes me around 30 mins on my moped and Roughly 45-50mins on public transport which are both quite expensive due to petrol and transport costs if I’m taking public transport.
I think the over-all support system is really good. Everyone listens to feedback and they work on that feedback to improve your experience. In terms of facility, I think there’s always a little something available that you could use in your free time, which again is really helpful
A nice atmosphere and friendly staff and students. Lots going on and to be involved with. Strikes have very much let down the educational experience.
Best: There is a very inclusive aspect of being a student at Golsmiths. It is the best in the country at being LGBTQ+ inclusive and having support systems in place for people who are LGBTQ+. Worst: The organisation of the university is poor. Things like timetables and grades are extremely slow to be released to students which is difficult when trying to make future plans e.g working and travelling. The Universities support system for female sports teams is extremely underdeveloped as it is clear there is more focus and support for male sports teams. The general organisation and communication from the sports coordinators should be reviewed and improved if the university considers its female sports teams an asset.
There is sometimes a lack of support and communication from teaching and admin staff. The campus is nice and simple, there could be more amenities like shops or a cinema etc on campus. The staff are nice and everyone is friendly. The course itself is fun to be on.

Goldsmiths has a good location in Southeast London and a lot of opportunities for a fun student life. The student support, on the other hand, is not that great.There should be better communication between students and admin staff.
I enjoy most lectures and the amount of help.
It’s very resourceful and everyone is really amazing to work with.
The overall ambiance is really nice and calm, and you can see it diffuse through the students. Most are very sociable and talkative. Lecturers offer great support and are responsive when an issue is raised. However I think my department lacks organisation.

Best thing about Goldsmiths is that most lecturers are experts in what they teach. They provide well planned, informative sessions both in person and online and are very approachable, supportive and really want students to do well. One aspect of Goldsmiths that I was not too happy with was the sudden change of administration and registry staff due to decisions by SLT to make redundant many long serving staff. This meant most jobs were done inefficiently by newly qualified staff who did not know the systems and took time to settle in. This along with the strikes disrupted much of my 3 years at Goldsmiths. I believe students voices and feelings need to be at the forefront before any sudden changes are made.
Lecturers are caring, knowledgeable and approachable. Both in person and online sessions are well planned and taught. Lecturers are very accessible and available to speak with in person or via email. Course hours could have been better on some days to avoid school runs for students like myself who have children.
Goldsmiths has brilliant transport links and many places to eat and shop and chill. The campus itself is spacious with a huge green area to relax with friends.
