Sort:Latest reviewsI am enjoying my uni experience at Goldsmiths a great deal. Having studied at another London university I find Goldsmiths diverse, supportive, exciting, cosmopolitan and cool. I love studying here. I would recommend it to mature/disabled students as I have felt very welcomed.
Goldsmiths University is perfect for the friendly, creative, adventurous individual. I love it here, just remember to do what you enjoy and have a passion for, not what you think will reflect well on you.
To be honest, I am not particularly impressed with my experience at Goldmsiths. Although, it may be convenient for some, the lack of teaching time overall is insufficient. I currently attend university for eight hours a week, six months overall and I still have to pay for course books despite paying £9,000 a year.
My years at Goldsmiths have been great. My advice to any future students would be the following: to use every opportunity you get and enjoy your experience becasue you may not get another chance.
its a great place. frist year is hard and the it department can be confuzing. you are givin so many passwords and usernames. always online problems.
After you get past the pretentiousness of the Fine Art course, it can be quite rewarding. However it is difficult to get into a routine of going to the studios because of the lack of structure the course has. Most of the time the studios are empty, so it is quite hard to make friends and socialize. Some tutors are bad, some are amazing and will go the extra mile for you if they think you deserve it.
Goldsmiths Fine Art course is full of hipsters, but the tutors are great and the girls are very attractive. The studios are often empty but have a great view.
Due to the course layout i find the university not very social. This accompanied by a drab student union doesn't encourage such activities. I think the university should offer more tutorial time and general help throughout the course. The university could be more organised and more informative
The university as a whole is not that good. A lot of people I knew last year either changed course, changed university or quit completely. I know that the Fine Art course has been altered to make it more 'worth the money' to the students who are now paying £9000, but it is still slightly disorganised and I still feel that there isn't enough contact time.
It's what you make of it! if you're involved and socialise you will love it! there are great opportunities out there expeacally being in the capital.
Go for it without even thinking about studying for at second!
I am enyoing my university placement, as it is opening doors for me and I am learning new skills everyday. I feel a bright future is ahead of me. I would highly reccomend university, as it is a positive opportunity out of a bad background or a brighter future.
It's been hard but a very rewarding sxperience, perhaps slighty an anti climax, im not sure. It's the realisation that our course doesn't really facilitates ways to find jobs. Enjoy yourself and do it for yourself and not for anyone else.
My university experience has been grat and has really given me a sense of what Im interested in. Goldsmiths has some incredible world-class tutors, and I would recommend that students spend time with each other.
I am really enjoying my time at Goldsmiths.
Make friends! Talk to everyone you meet and take every opportunity you have
First term can be daunting, but stick it through. Getting used to uni is okay. After you get over the changes and settle into your course, you might just end up having the time of your life.

Our uni, especially for a fine art student, is strict with art theories and critics. You have to have a theoretical background for your artwork. The joint course that I am studying is good for a student who wants to study art history and studio based course.
