Futureworks is great, the teachers are very supportive, facilities are amazing.
I learned a lot of useful things from the lectures, and they explain it very well.
The uni is great for in depth one on one mentorship when you’re looking into specific interests in the field you study, with tutors aiming to be available for feedback outside of class. Facilities have been easy to access and I haven’t experienced any problems with them. There isn’t a lot of emphasis on student life such as socials, although they do exist, but this also might be due to the fact that I attended during lockdown which slowed down this aspect of uni life.
There is a varied quality in the tutors in regards to teaching styles and it is mostly very relaxed, but each aim to help outside of teaching hours. There are lots of talks on graduate opportunities which are useful in teaching students how to improve their craft for employment.
There isn’t anything I would really change about the university because it’s a good place for me to get my coursework done and there’s always support there when I need it
There’s always support and guidance for the work your working upon
Everyone at the Uni are kind people, there is no hostility or bullying between students. Staff members are very helpful and lessons feel very engaging. The only negative is that there are very few clubs/societies.
In person learning is very engaging. Feedback and criticism given by the tutors is always very helpful and they are always willing to help you improve. Online learning, however, feels very lacking, but this is mostly due to the online nature itself and nothing on the part of the lecturers. But I would not attend this course if it was primarily online only.
The university’s facility’s are amazing and are available to book online with ease. The facility’s are also open through the summer.
Our course is very diverse as it helps you learn a lot about loads of different parts of the audio industry and you can focus on what you enjoy most
The facilities are amazing here and are better than other universities offering the same course. The societies and stuff like that could be improved.
The small class sizes allow for great interactions with lecturers
Very good facilities along with tutors with experience in the industry.
Great learning not so great for social
Best: Facilities Worst: Campus look
In-class learning most of the time and studios free to book all year round
Good tutors and experienced staff. Good facilities
Most lessons are in person and fairly hands on
The interaction between tutors and students is great
Great access and times for facility use
