Small and personal, attentive staff, clean facilities, broad subject and freedom to explore aspects of the course. Worst aspect is that campus closes at 6pm

The feel for the university feels very accepting as it feels like I know everyone and it feels homely but thier is so much work set as the pre works we are set are way to long and set every day, they say it’s 2 hours long but it’s not more like 3-4 hours a day then you have to go to uni at 1 to 5

TEDI is only a 10 minute walk from Canada Water station, making it easy to travel to via train or the underground. The campus is also very close to large shopping centres, Surrey Quays high street and supermarkets. The surrounding area has a good variety of small local restaurants and fast food chains. The campus is also reflective of the importance of sustainability in engineering that they teach in the first term, as the external building is made entirely of timber. The student support is exemplary, counsellors are always available and tutors are always willing to improve teaching skills based on student feedback. Since it's a small university, there isn't much opportunity for student societies and mingling outside of classes, however there is access to the KCL student unions.

The university’s course structure is very appealing to those who enjoy hands on work and learning. It’s a great way to begin your engineering journey! As the University is relatively new, it’s starting to get its name out there, and has done well in providing opportunities to the its students.

Some of the best aspects I could describe about the university are: * the help and support I get from lecturers and their assistants (i.e. all the lessons they’ve written are explained in a very simple and straightforward way so even those who are completely new to such concepts, are able to to understand it * the help I receive from the university staff if I have any issues outside of lectures. Some of the best help I got was when I applied to the university. I received straightforward explanation about the structure of the exam, knowledge needed for the program and what grades are required for the degree. Also thanks to the university staff, my application was processed very quick and didn’t experience any issues. * I’m glad with the support I get whenever I have issues with my university card, since it’s required for me to confirm my presence. The university immediately offers me support to fix the issues with my, and other people’s as well, card. * The location of the university of great, being 1 stop away from Canary Wharf and 2 stops away from London Bridge. * The good and welcoming atmosphere of the university and the positive interactions of the university staff with the students. So far I don’t have any negative opinions.

The proximity of the university's location to the River Thames has helped me understand the history behind some of the historical places.

Positive attributes for TEDI London: - large amounts of independent study which allows for a flexible studying hours - students have access to CNC machinery such as 3D printers and other common workshop tools - evaluation of students is largely project and report based, which teaches students to apply engineering mathematics to practical problems. - there is a focus on training engineers for their job rather than purely mathematics - has access to all King College clubs due to partnership Negative: - currently a smaller University - workshop is missing some heavier machinery (welders etc..)
