The town is lovely, but you have to go into Liverpool for a really good night out. I've had great nights in Ormskirk, but Liverpool is where the nightlife is. The students union has just opened and isnt busy becuase the 'vibes' aren't really there.
Edge Hill is a really nice place to study because of the serene environment and the nature around the campus. As an international student, it was really easy for me to get settled in the university becasue of the massive support provided by the international student support team. they organized numerous events which helped us to find new friends.
It is a very good place to study, the facilities are some of the best in the country, the campus has everything you need to live as a closed off town. There is transportation and connection to major nearby cities like Liverpool and Manchester. The leisure centre is good. Improvements to laundry services are needed.
For international students for different unrecognised communities, I suggest that University should take an effort to represent many other communities on events that are conducted all year round. I felt a bit left out because my community was not represented enough. On the other hand, I have joined a student society but it's very inactive, it would be great if the university would take a step to keep these meetings going on so more like minded people can meet. Otherwise the university is one of the best places to study, it's a privilege to be studying here. All the support and materials needed to study are amazing and very helpful.
I love Edge Hill, the facilities are amazing, the staff have great knowledge in the area they teach and are always available for extra support, and student support in general is outstanding.
More support when students are on placement.
Stunning campus, 24/7 support and endless facilities. If i was able to rate some of the lecturers I would as having PHD students who are NOT qualified to teach/ are disinterested in the seminar is not helpful and is causing me to struggle in class however there are some shining stars in the faculty in applied psychology and wellbeing.
Completely student and learning focused. All efforts on on deck to see student succeed with the learning and have the best experience doing so.

The uni campus is so beautiful and peaceful, it’s amazing to hang out with friends, go for a walk, or just chill between lectures. The staff are all so friendly which makes Edge Hill so good, it feels safe and warm.

The best thing is that everyone is always very keen to help you and you never feel left alone. The worst thing is probably the distance from town.
